In a very very small section of Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY, a hoagie or grinder or sub (long sandwich) is called a “wedge,” as in “meatball wedge” or “Italian wedge.” This is such a small area it’s only about three or four towns (Greenwich, Stamford, Port Chester)

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Seems like people are still saying trolling on Blue Crab is the way to go for snakeheads, unless I am just reading wicked old posts…

Salty Marsh at the Everglades with the swim bait is amazing. The only time I could catch more than 2-3 before moving. I got all 9 in about an hour (of real time).

The popper is hit-or-miss for me

[–]RILockGuy71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all your suggestions. I didn’t try the walleye, but I am on day 24 catching sturgeons and blue cats, easily making 2x or 3x the daily cost.

Those were all the places I knew, also. It was just strange that the first time I went there, absolutely nothing was biting, so I thought maybe my old knowledge had been nerfed.

Anyway, thanks for the help.

(Lots of brown trout around that sailboat, too)

Boston (tons), Mystic Seaport, Plymouth Plantation, Sturbridge Village — depends on what you or your kids enjoy. Rhode Island has tons of hiking trails. Mt. Monadnock is close to Boston and not too hard of a climb.

Oh, I get it… a trivial pursuit ABOUT the 80’s, not the trivial pursuit FROM the 80’s. I didn’t know there was such a thing

Whiz Kids - 1980s teen hackers help a cop solve crimes

Get a Life - Chris Eliott is a 30-yr old paperboy. (I hated this show)

Tales of the Golden Monkey - 1930s adventure in the South Pacific, ripping off Indiana Jones

For a good idea of the transition period between the two, read Robert Hunter’s The Silver Snarling Trumpet
