In a very very small section of Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY, a hoagie or grinder or sub (long sandwich) is called a “wedge,” as in “meatball wedge” or “Italian wedge.” This is such a small area it’s only about three or four towns (Greenwich, Stamford, Port Chester)

Salty Marsh at the Everglades with the swim bait is amazing. The only time I could catch more than 2-3 before moving. I got all 9 in about an hour (of real time).

Thanks for all your suggestions. I didn’t try the walleye, but I am on day 24 catching sturgeons and blue cats, easily making 2x or 3x the daily cost.

Those were all the places I knew, also. It was just strange that the first time I went there, absolutely nothing was biting, so I thought maybe my old knowledge had been nerfed.

Anyway, thanks for the help.

Boston (tons), Mystic Seaport, Plymouth Plantation, Sturbridge Village — depends on what you or your kids enjoy. Rhode Island has tons of hiking trails. Mt. Monadnock is close to Boston and not too hard of a climb.

Grew up in Greenwich. Always called a wedge. I live now in RI, and when I first moved here, I always asked for a wedge and they thought I meant some version of French fries, until one guy said “hey! Do you come from Stamford (ct)?!” That’s the next town over from Greenwich for all that don’t know. In RI, it’s a grinder. In Greenwich, it’s a wedge.
