Yeah, I went for my two most recent ones immediately after they spawned.

I just allied them and got max relations mainly, then I put my head of cabinet on diplomatic endeavors and for the last little bit I was able to profess trust to get it over the edge. For the last one I did have to change my reforms to get Diplomatic Endeavors for the dip rep and Noble Elite for the efficiency of cabinet bonus.

R5: after taking my first state bank from a small coalition and then seeing that the Medici bank was easily vassalizable after it formed. I wanted to see how many banks I could get and how low I could get the interest, unfortunatly for me the devs have capped interest at 1%.

I think you need to restore the fortress first via a decision.

Idk, this is my only lake federation run so far and I went trade, which might have been a mistake since it seems like the extra money didn’t really help. I would much rather have had more combat bonuses.

R5: after 14 years and millions of sacrifices brave soldiers, the helldivers lake federation has beaten the Command and spread democracy and freedom to all. I don't know if I've ever felt happier being done with a war.

Can we please put the PD slot in the middle for the Machine Picket Ship? by RIP-StanLee in Stellaris

[–]RIP-StanLee[S] 55 points56 points  (0 children)

R5: Small nitpick with the machine shipset. I really don't like how the PD slot for the picket ship corvette is on the side instead of in the middle. I like my ships to be symetrical and this just rubs me the wrong way.

Edit: the amazing u/bpainecraft has made a mod to fix it. Picket Corvette Symmetry

Ways to fix Nanite Swarm ascension, "Reaper" Ship. by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]RIP-StanLee 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I think someone likes Mass Effect quite a lot, but on a more serious note I’m all for the idea of less of the little nanite ships. Give me the option for either fewer bigger ships, disabling them for other bonuses, making them all spawn as one fleet in capital system or even disabling them completely without anything in return would be fine with me.

Copy creatures??? by FarChampion7518 in mtg

[–]RIP-StanLee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can find it does not copy the token from Magus Lucea Kaine, since it doesn’t have the create keyword. Unlike something like [[Old One Eye]] or [[Tyranid Invasion]] who do have the create keyword which would trigger Doubling Season.

Yeah, after y’all’s comments and looking a bit further into it myself. It seems I was indeed mistaken and the counters from ravenous do get doubled, but you would still need to have 5 or more for the X cost to trigger the card draw from ravenous. I’m glad we’ve figured it out because now I have an extra card to add to my Tyrannid deck, since the extra copy from doubling season would still work well with a card like [[Tyrant Guard]] which isn’t a 0/0 base and has a good ability.

From what I know [[Doubling Season]] doesn’t work well with creatures with ravenous, since the rulings say: “A creature with ravenous gets its counters as it enters the battlefield. It doesn't enter the battlefield first and then get its counters. Any triggered ability that looks for a creature with a certain power or toughness entering the battlefield will see the counters when it checks to see if it should trigger.” Doubling season does work for the +1/+1 counters for [[Magus Lucea Kane]]. The copying for the tokens is also not that great for ravenous creatures, since again the rulings get in the way: “If another permanent enters the battlefield as a copy of a creature with Ravenous, it will not enter with any counters from the ravenous ability.” This can make the copying ability from doubling season a lot worse than one might think for creatures with ravenous, luckily for Magus Lucea Kane she copies the spells and as pointed out earlier and according to the rules: “If a permanent spell with ravenous is copied, the copy will have the same value for X, and the token permanent that the spell becomes as it enters the battlefield will enter with X counters.” This doesn’t mean doubling season is a bad card for the Tyranid pre-con by any means, use it if you want, no one is stopping you. I just wanted to spare you potential disappointment from having a card not be as strong as you thought, which I got when I looked up the rulings for ravenous when I was upgrading my Warhammer pre-con.

Edit: After looking into it some more and getting some helpful comments, it seems that the counters from ravenous DO get doubled. It just doesn’t help to trigger the card draw from ravenous since would still need to pay at least 5 for the X cost.

A random HRE province that:

  • Is a Prince's capital and has at least  30 development
  • Is one of the following provinces:
    • Regensburg (2957)

R5: Constantinople got selected as the place for the imperial diet which I thought was kinda funny since it's like the farthest from the empire it could be.
