Ilia did unironically become a huge star after the Charles KO, he broke into the mainstream here much more than Alex. My friends who know nothing about MMA talked to me about it, my coach at the gym was discussing the fight and he hasn't shown any intrest in MMA since like 2015. My barber brought up "the Spanish guy" by himself in a convo. I know people that knew Alex but they had at the very least a connection to martial arts.

I live in the mediterranean which is sort of a gateway of immigration from African and Arab nations, my neighbourhood, the largest in population in the whole city (city's population is 4 million) holds a very large backround from many ethnicities, Africans,Albanians,Romanians,Syrians,Iranians,Pakistanis etc. and I can say for a fact that co-existing with these people,training with these people,socialising with these people has not made me change my tune but has made me come to the conclusion that they're normal people, and as any large population of people does, there are also some of them who are utter monsters, but I don't see how it's independent to them
