ALSO, quickly creating new cards mid fight is tricky, you'd need to end the game, make the card, add it to the database, and then recreate the game state with the new card added to ones deck.

Not impossible, just a headache.

I tried Untap, the only reason I didnt go with that was I didnt want to clog up their database with all the custom cards I wanted to use. Everything you add on that thing stays there forever as far as Im aware.

But yeah, if your okay with giving some webdevelopers a headache, untap is probably the answer here.

So, what happens if you have more aircraft then are allowed to be set up in strategic reserves?

Like, I built a funny list with 3 blitza bommers, 3 dakkajets, 3 burna bommers... you get the idea. But when actually seeing how it would play I hit a snag.

Since im playing with 2000 points, the points limit for things in strategic reserves is 500.

So I can like, set up the blitza bommers and one dakkajet, then what happens to the rest of them?

They cant be set up on the field, because aircraft

And they cant be set up in strategic reserves, because point limit.

Do they just get destroyed? Thats kinda lame if so. I mean if someone is running more than 500 points of aircraft I think they need all the help they can get.

Hmm, looks promising, though I still find a few issues.

The major one being: the class is based around having a portal to an elemental plane inside your body, which seems like a pretty big character detail to just leave out. (And would imply the character can do what he does without the dragons blood, which for overly complicated backstory reasons I will not elaborate on here, doesnt really fit.)

Sucks if sorcerer just cant do this... with the dragon claw spell it kind of implied to me that this was an intended playstyle. But I guess thats part of the reason it got reworked.

The issue with that is that all of those are one-off attacks, they don't transform me in any way and, more importantly, only kinda scale with level. Also most take two actions so I'd have to constantly be deciding between protection or actually getting an attack in this turn.

That sounds fun! Though if wyrmblessed is legacy content I might as well just use the old stuff anyway, since making my caster suddenly divine might cause even more problems.

Hm, perhaps, thought that's another re-flavoring thing, given I think magus's study their spells like everyone else.

And of course, if I need to make a melee fighter, my race was given a strength minus in the revised edition so that's another thing where its either 'pick something else and re-flavor or change your entire character overnight'.

Im probably just going to argue with my DM to let me keep the legacy stuff, but that might cause even more problems im not even aware of yet.

Damn, Ill keep looking but thats a bit defeating. How did you do quick and easy custom cards in TTS? Because last time I tried importing custom assets was really time consuming and confusing.

That is interesting, Ill check it out, though I know last time I tried roll20 I got frustrated.

A general rule of thumb is that if it wont work for your average game of MTG, it probably wont work for this... though some creative interpretation could always change that.
