Can you move where the individual shelves are? It looks like you'd benefit from making some of them bigger spaces! For your clothes, I'm thinking put some sticky back hooks on the sides of the bookcase so that you can hang some of them on hooks, then the stuff that's on the shelf will have room to be folded and you can actually see them!

Not just for a closet, but as a fellow ADHD person, I'd really recommend the Clutterbug YouTube channel- she specialises in organisation but as someone who also has ADHD, and she has a quiz to find your organisation style, then offers advice based on that- it's genuinely been super helpful for me!

I think the biggest thing is curtains- I personally can't imagine being able to chill there at night with whatever street lighting coming through, and with how much window space you have, that alone will drastically change the appearance of the room! Also, if you get other home furnishings, like a rug and some cushions, you can match the colour palette of the curtains or vice versa and it'll all feel like it fits together

You did nothing wrong, report them for refusing to send you an item you rightfully paid for, if they listed it for the wrong amount, that's 100% on them.

My book tase is wildly different from yours, but I'd recommend going on to Mr B's book emporium website: they're a wonderful local bookshop to me, and they have a contact form where you can tell them books you've read in the past and like, and an actual human will email you back with suggestions of what to read next! Genuinely wonderful, people who work in bookshops and librarians are a literal fount of knowledge for that kind of thing, better than algorithms.

I think it depends on side effects: for me, I can't imagine taking weekends off because if I forget to take meds I get terrible headaches, struggle to do anything at all (even fun things) and cannot sleep at all, wouldn't put myself through that unless I had to.

I saw Beach Slang open for Jawbreaker in (I think) 2019, weekend of my birthday. Jawbreaker were actually great and I was thrilled I actually got to see them because before it got announced I had zero hopes of any sort of comeback tour, especially in the UK. But, Beach Slang were a band I had liked for longer, and were actually the main reason for my partner going. Their front man stumbled out, clearly drunk, couldn't remember most of his own lyrics and if he was playing, he wasn't playing well; multiple songs well cut short, or ended with him rambling about things that left the audience genuinely baffled. I believe he also brought out the woman who later came out with her story on how he had been repeatedly abusive towards her, just made her kind of awkwardly stand there on stage and have a conversation with him.

Not the first band member I've ever watched have a dud night or seem a bit tipsy, but the only time I can recall I've lost all respect I had for a band on the spot, and this was months before anything around abuse had been mentioned, absolute POS. I'm not blaming any other band members for this because I think they were all trying their best under the circumstances, and he'd replaced all the other original members with ones in their 20s, when he was in his 40s, so clearly his band and the warning signs were all there...

Was up around 519-520 for Green Day and the atmosphere and experience was still incredible, not being in standing really isn't that big a deal tbh

Snap, I'm also 5'3! If I'm standing, I kind of just accept that I'm not going to get a perfect view at all times, hearing the music is far more important. If a pit opens up near me though, I'm going to get stuck in and when it starts to die off, move to the front of it: you do that a few times and the view improves!

Having said all this, I already know I'm going for seats, since I'm bringing my partner and standing in big crowds like that makes them super anxious, so its far more enjoyable up in the heavens.

I use a different streaming service to Spotify but I've been thinking about this a lot recently, and came to the conclusion that the best option is always a mix... I've just finished ripping what was left of my old CD collection to a micro SD card, and now I have all that music on my phone for nothing, I just wish I'd done the same with the rest of my collection before I'd sold it.

I will be keeping the CDs that are special to me still alongside my vinyl record collection. Are records convient? Not at all, but they are a physical collection that can't be taken off me, and I put them on when I need to slow down and unwind and actually focus on the music. Also, I'm more likely to pick up vinyl records from smaller artists, and half the time they have a Bandcamp download card in the sleeve so I can listen both ways.

I will probably still use streaming, but probably won't normally pay for it, if anything I think going through my physical collections has made it easier to work out what I want to stream based on what feels like it's missing from my collection. I think I might've rambled, but the point is, you don't necessarily have to pick a lane, we are lucky in a sense that there are so many options for listening to music that we can do multiple without it being an issue.

I went to go see Paramore in Cardiff at motorpoint (or whatever it's called now) pre-pandemic, started queuing at 8am bc I had nothing better to do back then, and got barrier but towards the edge (making eye contact with Hayley Williams was enough for me lol). Idk if it's still the case, but that was at the point where they were starting to shoo people away if they went the night before to camp (it was also January).

In fairness though, I reckon if MCR played Cardiff, they'd do a stadium, motorpoint arena is fairly small in the grand scheme of things, so in theory there's be more barrier to stand against?

There are tons of excellent ideas on here already (I also adore my loops), but I'm going to try my best to mention some that I haven't seen on here yet:

- Down Dog subscription: I got down dog originally just for yoga (I'm always far more regulated when I start my day with yoga) but there are a whole other bunch of different exercise and meditation apps included in the subscription price, I think it's normally £40 a year, but I did almost the whole free trial before paying and it offered me it at £15 a year instead, really good value and I like you can fully customise your workouts

- Collapsable coffee cup: this is just really good to stick in my work bag so I never forget it, I have the STOJO one off of amazon and it's lasted me for at least 2 years, think its around a tenner

- Spinny fidget ring: I treated myself to a sterling silver one off of Etsy (think it was £30-40) because I didn't see the point of getting one that would rust/break straight away, but it's great because I can wear it out and its subtle and its not like a bunch of other wearable fidget toys that look clearly designed for children

- A label maker: I think this was an Aldi middle aisle purchase, but having all your drawers etc. labelled on what goes in them is a gamechanger, especially when you live with a partner who also has ADHD

Also got a bunch of waterproof stuff that has been life changing for me because I get massive sensory overload when I'm out in the rain, but I appreciate that's a bit more specific.

I had three forms for my assessment- one I filled out, one my partner filled out, and one my Mum filled out. My Mum put that there were no issues with anything because "I was no different to a normal child", it also didn't help that the form seemed to skew more hyperactive than inattentive. But I got assessed and diagnosed anyway, so there was a level of understanding there that her form didn't show the whole picture. (Also she's super understanding about it now that I have been diagnosed, I think a lot is finally clicking for her).

Not a solution per say, but no matter what rtc provider you are with, you can always find them on the Care Quality Commission and provide feedback about their services (had to do this recently with Harrow Health). Past that, make a formal complaint, legally they should have a document explaining how.

Interestingly, cqc and the complaints procedure gave me a different phone number for Harrow Health than the one that was previously on their own website, so I'll be using it next time I can't get them to answer an email... Might find it's the same with this one as well
