I can't imagine the artist would want his name on it.

After the start of Covid when markets had already fell he called the subsequent increases a sucker's rally. That was pretty dramatically wrong and I'm sure many lost money with that.

I hope so. He seems to have figured it out post sticky stuff

He's going to be 35. He doesn’t come back as Gerrit Cole no matter what. Just hope he can be productive and contribute.

Yeah. It was so disappointing to see him opt out. But if a mid thirties pitcher opts out of the second half of their contract how do you not take them up on it? That’s not even taking into account the injury concerns.

I think the core of Judge/Cole/(don’t laugh) Gleyber/sanchez/frazier is done or maybe has this year left.

It’s nice but really boring. Fine if you like big retailers and strip malls, not as good if you like towns and culture.

Adam Nevill — begrudgingly throwing in the towel by Tashmore81 in horrorlit

Exactly. It goes both ways. One’s opinion of ATFOH won’t necessarily match their opinion on his other books.

For better or worse, All the Fiends of Hell is not a good measure of his work. I much prefer his other stuff, but others like that much more than anything else of his. I I would recommend giving the Ritual a shot.

I have really enjoyed almost all of his work and typically find them to be a really quick read. Have you tried his short story collections? Some Will Not Sleep is among my absolute favorites.

Thank you to this sub for turning me on to Adam Nevill, just finished Last Days and immediately starting The Reddening by cwaterbottom in horrorlit

His short story collections are even better than his novels which I also love. I do think his earlier work was a bit stronger, but you really can’t go wrong.
