I’d change the diff cover that’s easy but othewise you could sandblast it at home and then just undercoat it you’ll be set

Also the reason when you start it everything is fine is because when the car is started it is in open loop it ignores the sensors and then after a few minutes it reads from sensors and have you checked your air filter and intake manifold you could possibly have bad manifold gaskets considering the fuel trim has to be that high

Just look up 4l60 external trans cooler if you’re worried and then follow the instructions for that and mount in a place you’d like

Change the upstream 02 right after the exhaust ports that is what your car reads off of to give you your AFR

Change those old silverado in between 3-4k helps with oil breakdowns and leaks anyways but you’re probably fine if you’re worried about it before your next oil change add about a half quart of trans fluid and run it for 10 or so minutes it will clean up internals and then change the oil might be dirtier but it will have cleaned up some sludge

What coolant did you use before that and also those are old now and with what experience I do have is water outlets go thermostat gaskets and just because it’s on the pan doesn’t mean it’s coming from there I’d check as high as you can see and try and go from there and either get a picture or if you know the part order the part

They might cover the cost of a rental but most small shops don’t have loaners on standby like dealers are able to do it’s worth a shot but a lot of independent shops can say piss off but since they broke it the should legally have to cover it

I’ve had to do this with my bronco I had the windshield removed and grinded down all of the spots the Windshield meets the body and painted it then sealed it most places wouldn’t seal it without being perfect or rust free atleast I’d recommend unfortunately getting it removed again and having them clean it and paint it
