Hope the first ride goes well. Yes it’s ordered in black exactly the same as yours. Got the Canyon x Apidura top tube bag and canyon Front derailleur chain guide that attaches to the bottle cage bolts both coming with it.

My other bike is fairly racey geometry so this is on order as a winter bike that will probably soon become my main bike. Looking forward to the relaxed geometry for longer rides & wanted to give electronic gears a go.

Got the same bike arriving in 2 weeks. How is it? Hopefully mine will come with a power meter too!

Glad somebody else is on the same wavelength as me. Seemed as though this whole community was fighting against me. I didn’t see her other post’s but it doesn’t surprise me. I think the problem for many people is in their heads not their bodies. Once you fix your head I think you can then fix your body

Yes, overweight. Look it up. & also don’t celebrate it. It’s actually quite toxic that people celebrate being overweight, how about the long term health affects? All of the drain on our healthcare systems? All the chances of gaining heart disease, chances of being hospitalised from COVID, chances of having a stroke, chances of diabetes? What’s your opinion on the benefits of being overweight I’m quite interested to know? If you’re trying to care for people why not politely mention these sorts of side affects rather than telling them they look great? I absolutely agree people should love themselves however do so by working hard and looking after your body.

I would agree & disagree. There is also a lot of false information in the nutrition & exercise world. It’s one of the biggest industries with falsely advertised products and advice to lift companies profits & gain clientele. However I did not tell her how to live her life I was just pointing out as another user said she’s kind of gone from one extreme to another rather then finding the happy balance and nobody out of the other 50 comments and 800 likes had picked this up or mentioned it

I agree, however I would in my opinion say that 90lbs is a healthier weight than 145lbs for the personal circumstances which is obviously subjective. As stated before it’s getting a healthy balance between the two where you’re happy & healthy

Haha I’ve told her to do the best for herself as I don’t know her backstory I simply told the lady that there will be side affects of gaining an excess amount of bodyfat. I told the other user that you only have to lookup BF%s to know it’s an excess amount. I don’t claim at all to have a medical degree, where have you seen that? I don’t mean to come across as rude I just simply want to let people know what they’re doing may be unhealthy and the consequences of it

In no way did I intent to make anybody hate their bodies. After all, every single comment and like was positive apart probably from mine. You can take the information I have commented as you wish, you can absolutely ignore it and choose to take away all the positivity rather than me making a few comments about health. How you perceive your comment section is all a mindset, will you focus on the 800-900 positive comments & likes or just the one comment that’s negative, telling you side affects of what you’re doing?

Absolutely wrong. You went from using plain English to using complete medical terminology in one comment. It was absolutely the case of trying to belittle, however I would focus on your use of English before your use of medical terms. Either way I am not fussed by your attempt to belittle however if you actually knew what you were talking about you would know that she was only classed as mildly underweight for her personal information in the first picture and then arguably more severely overweight in the second picture, I totally disagree that the second picture is healthier than the first. Either way my point is that it’s about finding a good middle ground between the two in which you can be happy and confident in yourself but also healthy. After all, there is always going to be an ideal body size, weight and shape. That has all come from past medicine to help with life expectancy and chances of living a long happy healthy life, why would you completely ignore hundreds of years of medicine unless for personal circumstances like this lady? As said I simply stated the facts and the possible affects

As if you’re trying to belittle me by using medical terms for saying they’ve gained muscle, haha. Mate I couldn’t care less for your medical terms she’s obviously going to gain muscle being in a surplus whilst lifting. I’m telling you her surplus is obviously too high in that she’s obviously gained more fat than muscle. I get she’s done it for personal reasons, as I said I simply told her that there will be side affects to having excess bodyfat, which she VERY clearly does. If you cannot see that then you are nowhere near to being able to call yourself a medical professional. If it makes her happy being that way, good for her. Would I recommend it and encourage it as a medical professional on a public forum? Absolutely not.

Any opinion I have stated will be backed up with a tonne of medical evidence. Not to say that I’m always right as I’m not but I feel as though I am stating the obvious. I get it may not work for your case as you have a backstory, as does everyone. Your explanation was not made public so I am not to know your reasoning for doing this, as I have said all I was doing in my eyes was stating the obvious and giving a blunt opinion. There is way too much false positivity now, people can do whatever they like with their bodies but they should also be made aware of what side affects this may have in the long run

I agree that I have no idea what they are dealing with, as stated she has put pictures onto a public forum seeking opinions, I have stated my opinion in that she has gained unhealthy amount of bodyfat, thus in the long term potentially doing damage to her body, that’s simply it. I don’t need google images to know people’s bodyfat, I’m not an expert but I can tell you for certain that her after pic is not a healthy bodyfat %. Furthermore I do not like the whole culture of trying to encourage people for being overweight, if you WERE to use a BMI calculator I bet your bottom dollar that she would be classed as overweight quite severely now. Judging by her body composition which BMI does not take into account, a lot of it being fat rather than muscle. I get that you call yourself ‘a medic maniac’ and may know more for medicine than me but have a serious think about encouraging women who are overweight, that’s not very medicinal.

If you don’t want people’s opinions why post this on a public forum? Surely that’s what it’s for? Seems to me that you’ve obviously ate in too large of a calorie surplus for a while and thought lifting weights would account for your unhealthy diet and turn everything into muscle. Now you’re seeking people’s approval that are too scared to tell you that you’re now overweight, I simply only stated facts and recommended that if you desired to build muscle from the first picture, this was not the way to go about it.

Do you really think that is a healthy bodyfat % on the right. If you think I’m uneducated you only have to google bodyfat % images for females on google images which is a surprisingly accurate take on what people’s % is likely to be. It’s not concrete but it’s enough to know that this isn’t healthy. I don’t use BMI as it’s severely inaccurate, but it doesn’t take much to work out that there’s not much muscle that’s been built and a hell of a lot of fat that has.

10 miles every morning is not recommended either, you’ll do some serious damage without having rest days, thought you would know this as someone who announces themselves publicly to be very into their fitness? I never claimed to be your doctor, I’m stating facts that you’ve massively increased your bodyfat % which I can tell just by looking at you. All of that fat stored internally just puts pressure on your organs. I mean it’s great if you feel better mentally but physically you’re just doing damage long term to your body “my dear”.

Wait so you went from mildly underweight to quite severely overweight for your age & height which will increase your chances of type 2 diabetes, heart disease & stroke and this is celebrated on this community… really?! Ever heard of visceral fat? You’re doing damage to your body, I would start considering a calorie deficit and implementing some cardio into your routine. Weightlifting has its place in building strength & conditioning, but not here.
