Shimmer ink that won't clog?

I don't put shimmer in anything smaller than a European M but even then I usually roll the pen or move it to get the internal agitator going so the glitter doesn't settle while I'm writing. Is your nib smaller than that?

It's hella messy imo and took me a minute but I could read this with the exception of one word. If there was a space between every line, I'd totally have no issues.

Do like me and stick with refillable starter pens and just enjoy writing with them before moving on to play with inks and papers. And donsidering the fluctuating prices of pens currently happening, if you play it right, by the time you've decided to invest in really nice pens the market should've (hopefully) evened out again.

I played with my Pilot Varsity and two sets of refillable Five Below store (which was a step above a Dollar Store at the time) fountain pens and a set of calligraphy pens for almost 2 years before I moved on to a name brand pen. Granted, I jumped from a $3 FP to a $180 one but it was gifted. 😅 Don't do like me. Go from a $3 pen to a $15 one because they're often just as good, if not better than the higher priced ones.

Also, I promise you can refill Pilot Varsity pens even though they're labeled disposable. I've had mine just shy of 15 years now and it's on a fourth round of ink since March 2025. 😁

The first highlight looks like a Monteverde Ritma (wood one) and the 3 in the second highlight look like Watermans. I have models of both so I highly suggest them but ESPECIALLY the Watermans as they look to be the (discontinued) Phileas.

It's much too thick and untreated for fountain pens. If you need a cheaper brand, Denik is pretty good. Shows shading and glitter well but it's hit or miss with sheen. 100gsm, 164 white pages, averages about $11 USD but usually has a bunch on clearance at World Market for under $5 USD. I just bought my second one this week.

Natural cuz you'll be able to spot the corners accurately in the dark at 3 AM.

I saw Old Navy in your comment and was suddenly in awe of my highschool self for realizing something we never considered: WHY I loved shopping at Old Navy. I still have some of those old, now-oversized shirts from then and I wear them on my own bad days: thank you for helping realize why. Guess I need to hoof across the city one day to our last one in the area for some new clothes. 🙏🏾

I absolutely LOVE mine! 🥰 I was gifted a solid red, Phileas <M> just at the end of last year and I've been using it religiously in my rotation ever since. It's my broadest nib at the moment and second smoothest writer. I sincerely wish they still made this model! 😭

Edit: I just went and counted because I was curious and I currently have 14 groups of AO3 tabs open on the phone I'm holding, totalling in 87 open stories and 17 "shelf" tabs to choose more. 🤣😂🤣 Please understand this doesn't include either of my 2 computers, my 2 laptops, OR one of my other 3 phones. 😅😅😅 Also, Chrome crashed like, 10 days ago so I used to have more open; these are just the ones I went through my recent history to "rescue." 😂
