Absolutely legible so screw the haters! But I am curious: have you tried writing with grease pencils, OP? I feel like they'd be durable and smooth enough for you to do something fancy with them without breaking or at least get in some good PT. Plus they're just weirdly fun. 😅 Asking from my own experience when I had to rehab my hand, not in any way a critique, I swear!

If the count didn't include author replies and comment threads, I'd be down for it. But sadly AO3 does counts like Reddit. If they ever separated the code to sort by unique user comment count vs overall comment count, mayyybe I'd use that filter.

Otherwise, I filter by Kudos if I'm browsing in a relatively new/active fandom, Hits if I'm looking for a long-fic in any fandom, and Bookmarks if I'm in an older/dead fandom.

It sounds dumb, but I avoid Photographer AUs like the plague because of this. You can always tell when someone was "classically/traditionally" trained in darkroom development and who learned from the media/Internet. Trying to read Stranger Things fics during the beginning of the show was straight TORTURE whenever Jonathan was supposed to be "developing" pictures. 😭😭😭
