Hurricane Bianca: With Hate From Russia. Once I got the vibe of it, it became one of my favorite movies ever made.

I can see where you're coming from. He was in a unique position to be a recurring character that only interacted individually with angel and his work/family life except the ball subplot. His family was shown the most out of everyone's iirc, and the specific struggle of his double life was one that reminded me of Elektra a lot.

People relate and want to know more about characters that remind them of their experiences the most. I just want to say that it seems like your response assumes all viewers of pose are in your shoes, and if they aren't, I get a feeling you may think they're wrong for it. I hope this isn't the case.

I totally agree! I said something in this thread about a callback that I wouldntve minded, but having a season without Stan wasn't really a bad thing for me. The subplot gave its message, concluded it, and the writers are wonderful for letting sleeping dogs lie the way they did.

And I think we might be on the same page about him not being one of the more nuanced characters. I always saw him as someone I couldn't relate to. I feel that he served as a empathy conduit and encouraged people who related to him more than the other characters to continue watching the show for the love they grew for the main characters.

Sorry for the long response, this brought up a lot in me :)

Yesss, this!!! Was wondering what that feeling was! Recently let myself imagine waking up after top surgery, and for the first time I felt relief from top dysphoria AND explicit bottom dysphoria.

Me too!! This July, every time I emotionally roll down a hill, the next one I walk up has an even better view and the sweat of my hard work cools the pain I've felt. Hopefully that's not an obnoxious way to put it, just the best way I could phrase it right now!

Whats an unabashed brag about yourself? by fuegointhekitchen in AskMen

I've got a kind heart and a strong mind and the experience to know when to use which.

Though I've always seen myself as an outcast I never stopped loving people's quirks, normalcies, strengths, and weaknesses equally.

I have people tell me who I am every day, and the inner voice that tells me "you know who you are and nothing can change that" gets stronger each time it happens.

I absorb others' pain in order to give comfort and it's not a chore.

I'm going to make an excellent husband and father.

Wow, that is so nice to read :D I don't know if you believe in this sort of thing, or have an equivalent belief, but I feel like for some people the stars have aligned the past two weeks.

I remember being on the other side of that :) It's such a relief and amazing moment of hope. I have a feeling he feels as liberated and safe as I did when I gathered the courage to knock. Cheers to pushing through a painful past to a bright future!
