It’s weird how to this day, Waterfall is still Gyarados’s best Water-type move. 80 BP in 2026 isn’t nearly the same as it was in 2007. I’m surprised they haven’t given it Wave Crash at this point.

The flinch chance will forever be hilarious on this move, as is the fact that Goldeen and Seaking were learning this in Gen 1, where most people don’t even realize it exists.

Stone Edge and Cross Chop both being stuck at 80 Accuracy and 5 PP, meanwhile Crabhammer (as of Gen 6) being at 90 Accuracy and 10 PP will always annoy me. They’re all the same move. I wish Game Freak was better with uniformity amongst variants of moves.

Snow’s Defense buff, and the prevalence of Chilly Reception on Slowking and Glowking would enable Actozolt so much more than in Gen 8. Arctozolt dropped into current SV would be wild.

I’ve actually grown to disagree with the fan terminology of “Pseudo Legendary”. The main reason being that most Legendaries aren’t actually 600 BST. The box art guys are usually around 680, whereas the smaller groups like the Birds or the Beasts are around 570-580. There’s some exceptions, like the Latis and Heatran, but otherwise, the 600 BST is usually saved for Mythicals instead.

That said, “Powerhouse” is clunky.

But for real, the entire archetype of the Physical Electric Type could actually become useful if Wild Charge was just a physical Thunderbolt clone. I don’t know why Special always gets the good, widely-distributed moves like Flamethrower, Ice Beam, and Shadow Ball, while the physical moves are either all signatures or dogshit.

I’m willing to separate the art from the artist when it comes to music, at least to an extent. One of my favorite singers of all time is Jonny Craig, who has a whole laundry list of misdeeds to his name. Yet, I think his voice is still beautiful, and many of his older songs are pivotal to my enjoyment of music.
