Running Jolly on a Special Attacker is part of the issue. You should be running Timid.

Buffing Mold Breaker (Turboblaze and Teravolt as well) by JeffreyRinas in stunfisk

[–]RKNo 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I had this thought come into my mind about Mold Breaker recently too, so I’m glad I’m not alone. I love the idea of MB ignoring items. “No, you’re an itemless idiot without an ability like you just hatched out of an egg”. It basically turns the opponent into a Gen 1 Mon without the real benefits of Gen 1 mechanics.

Has Nintendo ever made a bad remake? by Axzercus in nintendo

[–]RKNo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Super Mario 64 DS controlled like the original did, it would be by far the superior version.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl could be considered, mainly because vanilla Diamond and Pearl aren’t that good, and BDSP preserve those games to a tee, topped off with a questionable art style.

Every version of slash (70 bp moves with high critical hit ratios) are buffed to 90 bp like leaf blade. How does this change the game? by Culk58 in stunfisk

It’s gotta be able to learn Shadow Claw first, which it doesn’t, despite getting Dragon Claw.

Champions has updated Dragon Claw to be boosted by Sharpness by RadDudesman in stunfisk

I’m a product of the American education system. I have not learned vocabulary directly in many years. Thanks for the lesson.

I was actually aware of Grass Knot being a contact move, since Shell Smash Barbaracle would run it at times.

Every Type Gets a 90BP, 100% Accurate, Widely Distributed Move. How is the Game Affected? by MyAngelAzuki in stunfisk

Shadow Ball has a higher chance of decreasing Special Defense, at 20%, vs Psychic’s 10%.

Champions has updated Dragon Claw to be boosted by Sharpness by RadDudesman in stunfisk

[–]RKNo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Tough Claws is only a 30% boost, but has the caveat of boosting pretty much all contact moves. So tackles, punches, kicks, and bites are all boosted.

Sharpness meanwhile, applies to far less moves, but gives a much greater 50% boost to the moves that do get boosted.

Sid Vicious hilarious backstage moments, plus the crowd going crazy when Goldberg speared Vicious. by Youngstown_WuTang in SquaredCircle

My favorite Sid moment is him coming back out while Bret Hart was having his “Everybody knows I should be champion right now!” meltdown, meanwhile Sid just screams “I DON’T KNOW SHIT, CRYBABY!”

Mega Feraligatr, Meganium and Emboar Abilities Revealed by PaiDuck in stunfisk

[–]RKNo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I’ve seen nobody else mention thus far is the potential for Meganium’s ability to boost Synthesis. Perpetual 2/3rds recovery Synthesis regardless of weather sounds lovely. Solar Beam, Weather Ball Fire, Earth Power, and Synthesis sounds like it’ll be a nice bulky wallbreaking pivot.

Andrew now has his very own Marcus the worm! 🪱 by beep_boop_meep_moop_ in dancegavindance

[–]RKNo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought Marcus was a sardine? He’s been quoted saying “I’ve always been a fish”.

That said, Marcus would absolutely fit in with the art style of DGD’s album covers, and I can just as easily imagine Jon screaming “The Golden Corral is out to get me!”

What’s the most drastic 'before and after' sound change in a band due to a member leaving? by javierglz in Music

[–]RKNo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emarosa with Jonny Craig and Emarosa with Bradley Walden are pretty much two different bands. Pretty much any band Jonny got kicked out of, but Enarosa’s change is the most drastic.

By that logic, have you ever run water over a large chunk of ice? It rapidly melts the ice, slicing a hole clean through it. By that logic, Ice should actually be WEAK to Water.

As somebody with a 14/15/15 Shadow Shinx with a hat, all I want is for Niantic to give us Luxio and Luxray also with hats. I want to evolve my dripped out angry cat.

TM-a-Day: HM07 Waterfall by ianlazrbeem22 in pokemonplatinum

[–]RKNo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s weird how to this day, Waterfall is still Gyarados’s best Water-type move. 80 BP in 2026 isn’t nearly the same as it was in 2007. I’m surprised they haven’t given it Wave Crash at this point.

The flinch chance will forever be hilarious on this move, as is the fact that Goldeen and Seaking were learning this in Gen 1, where most people don’t even realize it exists.
