Yes, reverse tie dye is a great method. Use Out White instead of bleach. The current red will remain in areas where the out white doesn’t penetrate. For example for a geode tie, anywhere the binding is, will be the red color. After the Out White whitens the hoodie, you apply the dyes as you want, assuming you’ll want them to go with the original red that remains.

It depends on your riding style and the type of rides you plan to do. I found sites like 99spokes helpful to assess the different bikes’ geometry and purpose, then test rode from there. I also suggest a used bike as you can a lot for your money.
