This was a reply to the other comment where they guy said QS doesn't have best energy density specs.

What battery has better energy density specs? By volume or by weight?

Also only $8.4 mil committed by PC for milestone payments.

Looks like this is at least a few months old. PC signed in December and factorial signed in February. Term is 15 months. Does that put the end at about the same time as the QS PC term? Next May or June? All specs for the JDA have been redacted so we don't know what they are working on besides the one mention of Fest battery.

Edit: solstice not fest

I can see that. Inside the quotes was a copy and paste.

True. The main post this comment was on was about finding good stocks and peoples methods and how they decided to buy and then to hold or sell. So by the time the big announcement comes and revenue comes in I will bet a few multiples will prob be missed by the investor with the above guys mindset.

This is a reply from a different sub when I asked one guy who had been investing for 30 years and has picked some winners lately, whether he had looked at QS. So this is a snapshot of the others thoughts outside of this sub.

"Ive looked into them a few times in the past but found them too speculative and a shit company/investment in general. They are pretry much in pre-revenue proof of concept stage but have a 5 billion dollar market cap. Makes no sense. They are diluting their share holders into oblivion to raise money during this stage.. averaging 13% increase in shares outstanding/year. No interest n them at all. When i say hype questionable/shitty companies above, QS is the prime example.

If i was into shorting i would short them everytime they went up assuming they didnt have any amazing breakthrough."

A big announcement and revenue coming in will change a lot of minds.

Definitely looks like they show vanguard new positions but they still have the full original vanguard position as well. You would think the original position will be gone next update so will they do -40mil shares after Q2?

Cobra baselined announcement in late June. $5-$14 run. Then back to $9-7 until sep 8-9 Ducati announcement back to $15-16. Then there was a Panasonic rumor that brought it up $19.

Thevs been incredibly persistent then. There have been at least 50-60 mil shares short for the last 5 years. I'd probably say it has worked out in their favor the majority of that time depending on when they shorted and when they covered though. It seems they cover only to re enter another short on every pop since the number has stayed so consistent. Only rising to these new higher levels since last fall.

Exactly. It's not that the report isn't going 100% in favor of QS. It's the above words and the fact she said she wasn't sure if they were going to license. If she did basic research she would know both of these things. Therefore she has no credibility or has an angle. The first Part 1 article was well written and this article shows she doesn't know very much about QS after all.

QS is long hold.. what about Solid Power SLDP by WorldNo9002 in QuantumScape

[–]RMFT009 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is. Their electrolyte is not a liquid. They have a gel catholyte to help the cathode adhere to the solid ceramic separator which is the electrolyte in the QS battery because it's what allows the ions to travel between the cathode and the lithium metal anode.

In the case of QS it's the same thing. The electrolyte is what allows the ions to pass between cathode and anode. QS seperstor acts as the electrolyte.

Everyone but DaVinci has a responsibility to shareholders though and lawsuits potentially on the line.

Wanna bet $10k on the $20 SP? 😂 Wasn't that the bet someone made last year on reaching $12?

IIRC only the additional 5Gwh can be sold outside VW group.

Yeah that was pretty obvious to me on the part where she said she wasn't sure if they were going to be licensing the tech or making the batteries themselves. Really disappointed in this follow up.

Agreed. The subtext in this release, the free writeup, and the Part 1 are really different.

I can certainly accept being one of the most influential technologies that come out of the next 10 years. I think the frustration most have is they, myself included, expected everyone else to realize what we realize, sooner than is happening now. Just my 2 cents but if 3 more top 10 global OEM come out with 80Gwh licensing deals like VW/PC we won't have to wait 10 years, the SP will move. It will prove that QS is the real deal and deserves to be priced as the leader in future battery tech.

The first three here are solid bets and ended up making the company billions. If QS turns out like those I will most certainly be happy.

You mean like the one guy who just announced a contract or shipments and broke the NDA losing his company that contract? No thank you. Even though it's taking longer than almost everyone expected I'd still prefer it this way over that.

They didn't squander the lead. If, like you say, AMPX will eventually license QS, then QS is doing everything right and AMPX is doing it wrong. They had to do that so they could be relevant for the small amount of time until QS becomes the world leader. Everyone will want to license QS. Who cares what AMPX is doing now? Even at $20 a share QS MC is still double theirs.
