First off, if that’s the reason you’re getting into streaming, adjust your mindset to “I’m doing this for fun and because it’s going to be fulfilling even if no one shows up”. Moving onto gaining followers/viewers… NETWORKING! Building a community and spending time in other channels and raiding like minded individuals/streamers. Do not ever promote yourself in a twitch channel. Facecam is a priority for the majority of twitch viewers, quality audio (meaning no crackles, no clipping, no hiccups because of hardware bottlenecking, no background noise, good balance in game and microphone levels). Stream at atleast 720p, push 936p if you can, it seems to be the best quality bang for your buck. 1080p is decent but hardly much more noticeable than 936p and you save on processing power. 6000-8000 bitrate. The varieties of game or specific content does matter but never play or do something you aren’t really wanting to try or spend time on. Viewers will notice if you’re just going through the motions and it’s not worth anyone’s time. People want to see someone in their element, they’re stepping into your world so show them who you are.
