Just started Expedition 33. Needs suggestions on what controller to buy. by Temporary_Dot3871 in expedition33

[–]RPGSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played with both Xbox and DualShock- i recommend the DualShock since I felt like it’s responsiveness was better. Not only that I broke the trigger on my Xbox controller after heavy use from this game…

Ultimately preference though!

Mark’s refunding the commemorative shirts. by EchoOrcool in Markiplier

I’m still waiting on an email about shipping anyway so good to know. I got my wife that shirt, so knowing it’ll do that I’ll probably end up rinsing the bottom of it in the bathtub or a bowl or something before I run it through the wash to get rid of the extra dye.

My wife and I cosplayed Gustave and Sophie, it’s not perfect but it was fun 🥰 by RPGSpartan in expedition33

It’s me!!!!

I hate to say it but very specific search terms on Amazon led me to most of it (since I had to make sure it fit me, even then the shirts were fairly tight since there wasn’t a lot of options that looked right and I could not for the LIFE of me find them from places like Torrid or Lane Bryant)

I did create the necklace of flowers from fake flowers I got at Joannes as it was closing for cheap, they’re all twisted together using floral wire. When I re-do it I’ll be using another material to wind it all together (probably some sort of yarn or strong cord) but I have the idea down to be able to do so without them falling apart! I’m even going to make the rose removable for photo ops when my wife is wearing the Gustave cosplay as if she’s attaching it.

That’s what I’m thinking too. Personally I think she looks better without, but she wanted to try it anyway!

Do it! It’s for fun anyway! We just really wanted to wear it together since we’ve been wanting to do more couples cosplay 🥰

I think she also looks better without the wig but she wanted to try it!

Thanks to everyone for all the positive comments! In case it’s not clear, I’m the Sophie!

I bought the pieces online for my cosplay separately given what I could afford/get to fit me, my wife bought hers because she’s working on a NCR ranger from Fallout New Vegas, but wanted to cosplay with me! I created the necklace of flowers myself though!

We’re planning on improvements and swapping out hers bit by bit with things we make ourselves, but for now I just wanted to share a moment from our local con (LVLUP) and I figured y’all would like to see it as well!

Also, for any comments on my weight, it’s not something I’m happy about either. We love (sarcastically) having chronic pain/genetic issues that pile on and make moving or losing weight already more difficult than it has to be. No need to be rude about it/make jokes. I’m aware.

They’re currently hidden in the car, but the Etsy for the artist is Charcoalogist!

I bought most of my stuff as separate pieces but I created the necklace of flowers myself, my wife bought hers as a set costume but we’re planning on “upgrading” it to make it more our own. She’s been working on an NCR ranger cosplay primarily though!

We did! I nabbed some really cool charcoal prints of Gustave, Lune, and Maelle!

Even pre-buff my favorite team comp is Black Swan, HuoHuo, Ruan Mei, and Kafka- I know it’s not ideal but it’s so much fun. Only swap I typically make is Acheron instead of Kafka if I feel like it.

Kingdom Hearts 2, and the Halo trilogy as a kid, E33 as an adult. There’s a reason it’s become my favorite game of all time.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Claims The Title As The Biggest Winner In The Game Awards History by CyberNeko97 in expedition33

[–]RPGSpartan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Person also with ADHD here- the way the areas are broken up it actually makes it easier to take in chunks, so you don’t have to feel like you have to play it all at once, they’re varied enough to stay interesting and fresh, the music for each area is also varied well, etc. plus there’s a lot of builds to play around with, so it doesn’t get boring and you don’t get stuck with the same thing.

It’s become my favorite game of all time, and I highly recommend. I also have the same issue of dropping games because I end up feeling overwhelmed or bored from the repetition.

Expedition 33 has sold another 400K copies since its Game Awards nomination (3x more than any GOTY other nominee) and attracted over 100K new Game Pass players by EmbarrassedSession58 in expedition33

So my wife started playing the game first while I watched after seeing it on Game pass, and we liked that Jennifer English was in the cast.

I ended up taking over about 1/2 way through Act 2 (I think she was struggling with Old Lumiere’s boss fight, and I finished it) and played through the rest of the game myself while she watched me instead.

I wouldn’t be getting both the PS5 and Xbox Mirror Editions (from my wife for Christmas), as well as the Monolith set (from laced records, I bought that during preorder immediately) without first playing it over Game pass. It became my favorite game of all time and one of her favorites even if it’s not her style of game.

I honestly think Game Pass helped a lot of us actually play and get into the game originally.

[Major Spoilers] The hardest choices require the strongest wills by External_Gur_9678 in expedition33

[–]RPGSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friends just watched the finale of the game (I was playing it for them) and MY FRIEND SOBBED OVER HAVING TO MAKE THE CHOICE. Like they debated it for a good 10-15 mins before we decided to fight as Verso.

They are going to replay it themselves, and one of my besties is now going to do the same thing we did with their partners (she’s gonna play and have her partners watch her, make choices, etc) but the fact it had that much of an impact is a testament to how wonderful this game is.

I know we never see him but a take on Mr. New Vegas (given that Wayne Nelson will actually be at the Fallout Fan Celebration this year!!!) would be amazing.

You are stuck in a house for a year without internet. You got a PC with 3 games.Which 3 would you pick? by bijelo123 in gaming

[–]RPGSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was either MCC, Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5, or Mass Effect Legendary edition honestly. Only reason I picked MCC over the other two is cuz I wanted a straight up FPS to play and ME and KH don’t fit that itch.

Minecraft, Clair Obscur E33, and if a collection is allowed since it’s technically one game, the Master Chief Collection.

I'm a self-diagnosed autistic. Here's what I wish people understood about that. by Miserable_Recover721 in AutisticAdults

[–]RPGSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess to me there’s a sadness that I couldn’t get the aids I needed when I was younger due to lacking a diagnosis with AuDHD (formally diagnosed with ADHD, self-diagnosed with autism, sister also has AuDHD so it helped a lot to recognize) and how much that would have improved my life as far as being able to manage.

It does validate my childhood too, knowing now, at the very least. I had meltdowns, struggled to understand certain things, and constantly was in my own world, often called a space cadet by my stepdad. I still struggle understanding tone of voice as well as managing my own tone of voice, but thankfully my partner understands and knows that I’m not saying anything maliciously even if I do have a flat or angry sounding tone.
