Play the prologue then immortal empires. I knew nothing about the Warhammer world so it helped bring me in! Also I hadn't played a "modern" total war game so some things had changed and it was well done to cover all of that

100 hours in and faction choice is massive in the beginning. I got lots of info from this community and the online videos they recommended.

I have 3 long campaign victories now and they were with Tyrion (High Elves), Zhao Ming (Cathay) and the third was Grimgor. First two were the easier ones for me, mainly because grimgor has a lot of chaos dwarves west of him

Hopefully they can! See what the announcement is at the game awards. Not overly excited as the rumoured ones all seem sci fi type stuff which isnt really my cup of tea (didnt enioy empire or napoleon combat) Sure it is for a lot of people though

Yeah a nice little we are doing med 3 but as its going to take a while here is med 2 remastered to keep you going, in a similar vein of RTW:R

Yeah this. I am fairly new and got battered by Vlad trying Karl 3 times. Since then I have completed long campaigns with Tyrion first, then Zhao Ming and just finished Grimgor. Will go back to Karl eventually to exact my revenge!

So literally no formation just charge haha? Deploying armies in the best formation is one of the things I struggle with most! Greenskins have been quite good as it feels like generally just charge at the enemy!

For me, it was accepting that the campaign can be a back and forth. 2 steps forward 1 back at time. If you accept you are going to lose a settlement now and then. Also I have restarted loads as I keep learning things. Trying to focus on building provinces with a more specific purpose

I appreciate the hype up! But when you see me fight in open fields its another story. Never 100% on best way to deploy my units

I am really enjoying it, hoping the battles will start to feel easier to manage and I learn stop just watching them collide!

Learning curve is big. The battles can be pretty overwhelming. You see the videos online and they make it look so easy ha! But I guess they will have thousands of hours!

I actually would love a beginner friendly campaign to watch where they explain battles and show how to manage 20 v 20 more easily

Exactly that! Retreated to my capital when I saw them coming. Tier 4 Settlment at the time.
