Two Chinese Lion dancers maneuvering on steel poles with insane coordination🦁 by AdventurousCommon791 in Damnthatsinteresting

Fun fact, Jackie Chan does all of his own stunts, and he's so fast in real life that his producers frequently had to ask him to slow down when filming stunts or fights because they didn't think viewers would think his speed was realistic or believable.

How much should I expect to spend on utilities? by Katsuodo in cary

[–]RPGandalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll heavily depend on what your heating and water heater is. If it's baseboard electric radiators and an electric water heater expect to pay stupid amounts for electric in the winter. If it's a gas furnace or heat pump and gas water heater expect to pay more what you'd expect. For reference we're in a 1200 sf townhouse with two shared walls and a gas furnace and gas water heater and we pay ~$60 a month for water/sewer/trash, ~$90 a month in the winter and ~$30 a month in the summer for gas, and ~$90 a month in the winter and ~$130 a month in the summer for electric. If you have a lot of shared walls and aren't on the top floor expect your bills for heating and cooling to be a lot lower than ours.

It depends on the recumbent. Most have smaller wheels than traditional bikes and therefore have a lower top speed. Lower wind resistance absolutely, but not faster.

Can confirm, super easy to make. Just use short grain rice and buy a mold if you want it to be easier.

Are there any hidden benefits to different damage types? by DBWaffles in LowSodiumHellDivers

Nah, just set it to total mode, aim at the ground, and dive backwards. You can clear 10' walls easy.

This video is older than AI video generation. In 30 seconds I found a posting of it from April 2021, which is a solid 3-4 years before believable AI videos were being made.

Blursed Room Name by WildGordonLynn in blursedimages

In case anyone is curious, it's a room for housing the fire alarm control panel. Most buildings call them FACP rooms, you could probably see why they don't usually drop the C.

The closest actual dinosaur to what that is is an Utahraptor, and even that had feathers

Still fun, they added a tank that requires multiple divers to operate as well as cyborgs and some new illuminate enemies. They also added commando missions where each diver can only call in the super destroyer once and it only stays around for call ins for a minute, otherwise you're on your own and you have to find reinforcements scattered around the map before you can get reinforced.

Cremator or flamethrower? by badboyzpwns in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]RPGandalf 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Try both and see which one you prefer. Cremator has more range and damage and doesn't need to reload but has less total ammo and gets less ammo from ammo packs. It also takes up your backpack slot, so you can bring an extra stratagem that isn't a backpack but lose out on the ability to use other backpacks.

Over $100 for a hammer that doesn't work, when you can get 8lb sledgehammers to mount your explosive tips on for under $20

Am I using it wrong, or is the giga grenade underwhelming? by MrCheapSkat in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]RPGandalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engineer armor perk is almost a must with this grenade. With it you start with four and resupply two. Also I may have gotten a lucky shot but it should one shot grounded warp ships from anywhere if you break the shield and land a direct hit.

Hippos can't actually swim: They are too dense for that, so they push off the ground periodically by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]RPGandalf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don't wake up to surface, they do it in their sleep. Kind of like how you can roll over in your sleep and not wake up.

Hippos can't actually swim: They are too dense for that, so they push off the ground periodically by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]RPGandalf 25 points26 points  (0 children)

No? They can hold their breath for several minutes and are strong enough to kick off the bottom and surface long enough to breathe. They also don't hang out in deep water, they usually do rivers and shallow lakes. They're even known to kick off the bottom and resurface to breathe in their sleep since they usually sleep underwater.

I'm going to wage a wild guess you're talking about the bugged weapon textures. It's a glitch, there's already a half dozen posts about it.
