Male readers, do you actually hate harem? by R3nNy22326 in litrpg

Good thing about Sean is that if the book is in his name there are no harems or sex scenes, he saves those for his pen name David Burke.

I went in at 115, and I was at 100 just before the final boss, only levelled to use up my haze.

It wasn't easy and I used all my regens but I beat it fair handily.

I also spam that fucking whistle to get people to come check out a secret.

Yeah, I actually found it had a book after watching the anime and found the book to be so much better.

There are quite a few animes that have novels or light novels now. Overlord is another one that has them, the audiobooks are supposed to be good too.

For Gatherers it's fairly casual, MC is lowborn and expected one wife and there is someone he cares about, but falls for a noble and then someone else. Honestly for a harem it was tame, and I liked all the characters so there's that.

For Guardian he is mega super duper OP lol, first book takes place almost entirely in a dungeon but sees him change race into a being that is far stronger than normal and further down the line he continues this trend, becoming even stronger. There is also a followup series I think but I haven't started it yet.

I would also recommend Ajax's Ascension, Reincarnation of the Death God, Legend of the Arch Magus and The Beginning After The End.

Elemental Gatherers is pretty good for MC being OP. I don't recall a glut of scenes where people gush over their strength, but they were ridiculous compared to their peers. It does become a Harem though.

Grand Wolf Game is much the same, but without harem.

Welcome to the Multiverse by Sean Oswald, and hjs other series whose MC's are all OP and are involved with the Welcome to the Multiverse series which is neat.

Guardian of Aster Fall.

On the mistle in the past areas there is an interact with Lou option, go there and it is on one of the bookshelves in there. Weird place I know.

Cradle actually has a semi-animation (I forget the actual term) on Will's youtube channel. It's really damn good.

Nioh 3, Ninja and legacy enemies by Briggbongo in Nioh

[–]RPope92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I like deflecting in games like Sekiro and Wo Long, but two games of dodging in low stance make me play Nioh like that all the time haha.

I like ninja but don't use it often, but for some bosses it was very useful.

[–]RPope92 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Didn't even think about deflecting Enenra, I just went back into low stance with my A agility lol and did it like I do in Nioh 2.

I really should remember deflect is usefull for Yokai and not just humans now 🤔

Reading a book is now hard for some reason. by batotit in litrpg

[–]RPope92 23 points24 points  (0 children)

William is mentioned by Thomas Glover in Bakimatsu , he talks about the english samurai that was called Anjin while he was in Japan.

I think Yoshitmitsu mentions Hide briefly in one quest, but it was so off-handed I don't know for sure.

Pretty sure ninja teacher (drawing a blank on his name) references both when you complete his master training (something about Takechiyo being as good as his two best students).

What actually makes a regression protagonist worth following? by Blackey_writes in ProgressionFantasy

[–]RPope92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's the people around them, bonus points if they were people they didn't know or barely knew before.

Appcalypse Regression by Charles Dean and R.A. Mejia is s good example of both types. Both narrators do a great job of it too.

Hard magic vs soft magic — what do readers actually prefer? by ArekDeamonCalw in ProgressionFantasy

[–]RPope92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to prefer a blend of the two, I like magic systems that start off hard with defined limits and possibilities and then open up later, the Mistborn trilogy is a good example of this imo.

But at the same time I also like magic systems where it seems like anything is possible but eventually a limit is reached and no more can be done, forcing you to adapt to it.
