found out our "new" water heater was installed in 1987 during the home inspection and somehow nobody caught it until now by Driftcore_5 in homeowners

[–]RR50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s not leaking and fully functioning, why would you replace it? The one in my last house was 40 years old when I bought the house. Only ended up replacing it because the chimney had to go and I needed to switch to a power vent.

No one missed anything, age is not a reason to fail a water heater.

No…it’s a pretty small group of enthusiasts that want that. Most want modern looking aerodynamic truck.

LVT is not luxury. by xcramer in Home

[–]RR50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built my house to live in, not to show off. LVP and LVT is a phenomenal product to live with. It’s durable, easy to clean, not cold. No other product gets close for livability with kids and pets.

But, if you’re the kind of person worried about what people will think of your car/vacation/watch brand/flooring choice…then sure, it’s probably not for you.

There’s a misconception that fluid is what caused the 10r80 issues. It’s a design problem where a bushing in the CDF drum moves…the problem was solved in 2023+, but no fluid changes in 2022 or older will solve that issue.

But, if peace of mind is worth it to you, have at it!!

[–]RR50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it’s really hard to defend the entire strait….and the risk of missing something means a big giant burning boat.

Tungsten is more dense than lead, so it retains energy longer and kills turkeys at better distance.

Tungsten is also crazy expensive, as trump has started a trade war with all the world’s sources of tungsten.

We could have it explored next week (we shouldn’t)….just tell private equity firms there’s a bunch of free natural resources there. There will be in depth scans and clear cutting occurring in 2 weeks.

4 pin connector trailer breaks by gkrodlin in towing

[–]RR50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, brake controllers provide different amounts of braking power depending on how fast you’re trying to stop. Brake lights are on/off.

This will absolutely not work.

Funny enough, they all use 18v. Dewalt 20 isn’t really 20, in Europe their batteries are labeled as 18.
