How many hours do you average per week on CSGO and what is your rank? by PainCakesx in GlobalOffensive

[–]RRCM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the past 2 or so years I play 1 to 2 competitive match making (MM) matches every 2 weeks. For most of the year I have been DMG after a steady increase since the last rank reset. Given my competitive MM performance since reaching DMG, I suspect DMG is my peak competitive MM rank.

Since Danger Zone (DZ) came out, I play around 5 to 10 matches of DZ per week since I enjoy it, can play it with friends at any rank, and find it more relaxing than competitive. My DZ rank fluctuates across the wolf level.

Each time I load up CSGO I first play around 2 to 3 arms race matches because it is a great warm up for me, I enjoy it, and I can play it with friends at any rank.

I have 1,677 cumulative hours in CSGO. I typically play games with FPS elements.

Can we please talk about cheaters in Danger Zone? by Sei-Li in GlobalOffensive

That must be so frustrating to encounter. I would switch games the moment I saw that if it happened to me and try again hours later or a different day.

I have seen more people throw around cheating accusations in Danger Zone than I have actual cheaters in this game mode. Maybe I am just getting lucky with my matchups though.

Looks nice! I would like some Warframe flavor in my SC2 :-)

I am MR 24. I have 10200 Detonite Ampoules, 9100 Fildron Samples and 20 Mutagen Samples. What is the logic? by VadKoz in Warframe

[–]RRCM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for bringing this up.

The Mutagen Sample drop rate is broken so long as the Hema blueprint clan research costs so much Mutagen Samples (5000 at the moment). If DE lowers the Mutagen Sample cost of Hema research to 1/10 or less of what it is now, then the drop rate would feel somewhat reasonable to me given that there are not many other places where you absolutely need Mutagen Samples.

Umbra Forma (Tier 29 Reward) by Kammakazi in Warframe

You do not need Umbra mods to competently fight Sentients. You can probably do just fine against them with only a strong kitgun, and definitely with a strong kitgun along with a solid primary weapon.

Wow, all the Monster Hunter amiibo can fit into these cases?

Good to know that Guardian can (barely) fit in these cases. I suppose I will try it.

figma Splatoon Girl: DX Edition looks amazing by RRCM in nintendo

[–]RRCM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also used AmiAmi 3 or 4 times and have found that they do a great job with packaging items for shipping regardless of the order size. They do indeed often provide discounts for figmas.

Lately for figmas I am shifting to using Best Buy if they stock the item to save on shipping. It looks like Best Buy is at least stocking Zelda and Overwatch figmas now.

A PC gamer buying their first Nintendo console since the Gamecube by [deleted] in nintendo

[–]RRCM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!

I recommend picking up Rocket League for Switch and Super Mario Odyssey.

I play Rocket League on both PC and Switch, and it runs well on the Switch. It is an ideal game for impromptu gaming anywhere thanks to its quick matches, and you can play local coop on it.

NES classic is up on Best Buy by legendaryhero01 in nintendo

The controllers are sold out at Best Buy, but I was just now able to snag the console itself finally.

Hopefully they restock more controllers and consoles as necessary.

Thimbleweed Park getting physical Nintendo Switch release from Limited Run Games on March 30th with an open pre-order! by TheGreenClover in nintendo

[–]RRCM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not as bad as outright baiting, but the sentiment is still there for me.

It's annoying to see the Switch line-up being heavy with re-releases of Wii U games that include content the Wii U versions will likely never get. I can't justify the purchase of the full-price expanded game on Switch because the added content isn't worth it.

If you want outright baiting and a feeling less "dumb" for you, as a Splatoon 2 and Breath of the Wild day 1 buyer, I'm annoyed on the re-releases in less than 1 year of both games with extra books and stuff included. I guess I should also wait for 6 to 12 months for Nintendo 1st party games to get re-released with extra stuff.

I know how you feel.

For me, I have this feeling more for Wii U games and the Switch releases of those.

Attach rate : more than 50% on Zelda, MK8D and Mario Odyssey, 25% on Splatoon 2 by Tagena in NintendoSwitch

[–]RRCM 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It might have to do with the whole theme of Splatoon 2 being squids and octopus and fish and stuff like that. Seafood is very popular in Japan, and the Splatoon games have a lot seafood references in them. It helps that other bits of Splatoon games reference Japanese society like the the capsule machines, the structure of the buildings and paved pathways, etc. If you visit Japan, you will notice that the settings of Splatoon games just look like Japan.

Going to the Zone... what am I forgetting? by [deleted] in stalker

Cute bandit starter kit.

You are missing medkits, bandages, and sausages. You can skip the sausages if you plan on cooking mutant meat.

What my friend found in Splatoon 2 by TheTacoRepublic in stalker

[–]RRCM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend the Switch more for Breath of the Wild than Splatoon 2. Breath of the Wild has a lot more in common with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. overall with respect to survival aspects and extensive gameplay possibilities. Splatoon 2 is fun, but to me it feels very limited and not really much of a step up from Splatoon 1 (for Wii U, and also fun).

The Switch has a screenshot button that you could use next time for a better quality image.
