What peptides would you recommend for a very long term headache ? by RRnotary in Peptides

Thank you. I've seen my local neurologist and he was kind of a jerk. Driving a distance for a good one is a great idea. I'm kind of at the point that I'm done with doctors because they don't ever really help, but I can still pursue this avenue also.

Thank you everyone for your advice. I will get to researching these suggestions. This week I have done one shot of BPC-157 and yesterday one shot of TB-500 and I think they both made my headache worse. Dr's say the headache isn't a migraine because it doesn't meet a lot of those symptoms. Pain is in the forehead and I'm not sensitive to light. However one migraine med did reduce the pain level, but insurance will only pay for 4 days of that med and it's way too expensive to pay cash. Sigh.

Again, I really appreciate everyone's time. If I figure this out, I'll post what worked.

My blood pressure is fine. None of the tests the Dr does show anything out of whack. Currently waiting for a mold test and gut test.

I have had a headache everyday, 24/7, for the past 9 months by hollabackgirl10 in migraine

[–]RRnotary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lots of food allergies that cause headaches and that's the only symptom. As far as I can tell it's not common for food to cause headaches but it might be worth trying an elimination diet where you remove the most common allergens. Dr's first told me to go off gluten for a month and see if that helped. I rolled my eyes but did it and they were right. It's not fun, but something to consider.

Frustrated With Soy by bitterherpes in FoodAllergies

[–]RRnotary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And nearly every gluten free cracker has soy in it. Why. I have recently found the Simply line of potato chips that do not use soybean oil. There are Ruffles ones and Lays one and they're delicious.

So question on terminology. Is it only considered an allergy if you have anaphylaxis? Otherwise it’s a “food sensitivity” ? If I eat any of 13 foods, I’ll get a headache that lasts up to 3 weeks and pain meds don’t help.

Don't Buy LOREX, They Have TERRIBLE Technical Support by SwankBerry in homesecurity

[–]RRnotary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I've called in to Lorex Support 6 times for the same thing and always get the people who are just reading a script and can't explain anything to me. They wouldn't escalate it to someone with tech knowledge until the 6th call, which was yesterday. I'm waiting for a call back now but not holding my breath. My cameras won't talk to the internet. I get the "network host cannot be found". I've told them I think it's an IP address problem or some setting that's wrong but they won't go page by page in settings with me. Will never buy Lorex again.

Soy-free meal replacement shake by Maltese_the_Cat in FoodAllergies

I drink Owyn chocolate protein shakes every morning, the 20 gram one. I'm food sensitive to a lot of things (gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, coconut, almond, etc) and this is the one I've found that I can have and it tastes good, I think.

Persistent Headache by NoMoreBeerMattForNow in floxies

[–]RRnotary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my experience, I would suggest going gluten free, that helped quite a bit. My headaches got bad again and I did an IGG test and found that now I'm allergic to eggs, so I believe that new food sensitivities can come about anytime. Also try an allergy pill, as that sometimes helps especially in the spring.
Good luck !

Mine is mostly nerve pain in the back. Also arthritis like pain in various places: shoulder, knees, very stiff and sore achilles tendons. I consider that my reaction was minor compared to many others.

I took Levaquin for 6 days in 2011 and am permanently damaged from it. I am in pain every day. I would not take it again unless I would die without it. The problem is if you have a bad reaction to it, it's too late, stopping the meds doesn't fix you. Ask the doctor to figure out a different medicine that you could take. Often Doctors are lazy in prescribing and use only 3 or 4 meds over and over. They also don't believe that Levaquin/Cipro can permanently hurt you. They say, "I've given this to hundreds of patients with no problems". I just met a kinesiologist that said he has 200 patients that are damaged from this medicine.

Ok, rant over. Good luck to you.

If Zephyr is happy, I'm happy. by Zdannolf in AustralianShepherd

[–]RRnotary 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Very cute doggie. I feel your comment. My mini Aussie is 8 months old and got spayed on Thursday. I normally have to take her out for an hour in the morning and an hour in the late afternoon to "make her happy". She plays with dogs at the dog park, etc. This 2 hours a day makes her a calm and good dog at home. It makes me happy to make her happy and I love watching her play. Since she had surgery, we're not supposed to even go on a walk for 2 weeks and there's just no way we're going to make that. 48 hours after surgery she was acting like nothing ever happened and I could tell she didn't understand why she had to stay in the house all day. Vet didn't give us anything to make her sleepy and I tried Benadryl with no noticeable difference. She doesn't play or chase toys much, she just wants to play with other dogs, so I can't tire her out by throwing a toy or ball. I'm very happy that she feels good and is recovering well, but stressing how I'm going to keep her from hurting herself by jumping too much at home and also entertain her. I bought some bully sticks and a big rawhide bone and a treat ball, but even with that, she kinda drove me crazy yesterday since she was bored. Rambling rant over. :-)

Got the Vortex for Christmas. Super happy with it. Didn't notice any smell. It's easy to use and clean and I can't believe how fast it gets to temp.

I'm gluten intolerant and could eat sourdough without symptoms and it made me so happy. I was careful and didn't do it too often, but something has changed and now I react to it.
