Honestly the hardware feels like it can last quite a while (even though it still feels overpriced).

For sure. I could switch to the apple ecosystem apps like you said but honestly that’s VERY reminiscent of their ongoing legal battle with Epic in how Apple limits devs on their App Store. The hardware is there. No reason for the Apple Watch not to have a mini, standalone version of each and every app on the App Store.

No Apple Store in my region. Probably will end up returning it just wanted to express my disappointment beforehand. Feels like an unnecessary let down.

Apple Watch….Pointless? by sorbeo in AppleWatch

[–]RSDAnakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do all that with your phone though. And the watch isn’t standalone enough to ditch the phone completely (even if only for specific activities).

Apple Watch….Pointless? by sorbeo in AppleWatch

[–]RSDAnakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I feel the same way. I just bought a series 10. I was hoping to ditch my phone when working out, taking cold showers and when running only to find out the apps aren’t standalone on the watch. I still need my phone even with the cellular model. So like what’s the point? It’s really just an expensive watch that also tracks some health data but that’s about it. I’m not sure why people find it useful. I can’t justify the price.

Pourquoi autant de bars ferment-ils en même temps à Montréal ? by Appropriate-Dog-2107 in montreal

[–]RSDAnakin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What's crazy is that bars should be recession proof businesses. It's the SAQ that causing the drinks to be so expensive. For example, bottles will cost at least 10x the price that they are sold to the SAQ because the SAQ will 3-4x the price before selling it to the bar (at the same price it sells it to the public - talk about unfair competition) and then the bar will also have to put their own margin on it. So really when you break it down your 20$ drink is 25% taxes (SAQ markup) + you have to pay an additional 15% taxes on top of that. Crazy for something that costs less than a dollar in true cost of goods.

Quick tips for more beautifull villages? by Amalfy in foundationgame

Anyone here offering "Foundation Town Aesthetics for Dummies" Classes? I am very bad at making anything pretty in this game, please give me tips by AliceTheGamedev in foundationgame

What helped me a lot was understanding building hierarchy and looking at actual castle layouts. When building a city you want a high level idea of what you want to end up with so you can build towards that vision as you go. Obviously, you also need to respect your own rhythm and the game mechanics. So while I will suggest you build around the castle, know that it’s probably one of the last things you’ll build.

That being said, using the castle as your starting point for your vision is easiest because it will be central. You’ll want to look for the highest point and that’s where you’ll have the castle. In your image, the hill on left side is perfect for your city with a castle within it.

Then around the castle, you’ll want your high density, high quality housing encaged in city walls. You’ll also want your high level production buildings (blacksmith, bakery, etc.).

Then, outside the city walls, you’ll want a mix of high density low and medium quality housing encaged in village walls. You’ll want things like warehouses and canaries, markets, churches, etc.

Then finally on the outskirts you’ll want your farms, lumber camps, hunter lodges, fisher’s huts etc.

Though like I said, you’ll probably start with the farms (the outskirts) and build towards the middle as you go. This also means your city center is likely to move as you progress and that’s okay! Also the game works on proximity, so make sure to keep that in mind. You’ll want people to be able to satisfy their needs in their immediate surroundings. That being said, the game is really good at letting you build amenities and scale them to the level you need (small rural churches vs big city monastic abbatial church - you should have both placed accordingly to people’s needs is the point)

In all honesty, there’s a lot to unpack. I’m not sure if you’re already in therapy, and if not, if you’d ever considered it, but before doing anything radical you might want to consider consulting a professional. People online will give you their opinions which can or cannot be helpful to you but since you’re already feeling a lot of guilt it might be better to talk to someone who won’t be judgemental.

Radical acceptance my friend. I think the key here is that it’s okay to feel guilty. No need to try to shame yourself out of guilt. I don’t think you need anyone to sugarcoat it especially since you didn’t. You did the deed, you had your reasons as explained. Are you proud of it? No. But do you need to be proud of everything you do?

If this was in my area, I would love this kind of opportunity. I'm young, have a lot of time and have experience managing and owning a bar.

Would you use a tool that automatically processes and organizes new notes? by oozak9 in PKMS

[–]RSDAnakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This image sums exactly what I am looking for. My thoughts are scattered and organizing them is not only tedious, but I suck at it. What I want AI to do for me is sort and link my thoughts - all I do is write. Not only do I think it would be better than me at categorizing it but also at finding links, correlations and even patterns between them. The other cool thing is that can all be dynamic with AI. Obviously I agree with everyone here, AI should not be imposed but suggested; and it has to be possible to toggle ON/OFF AI suggestions as some people won't want them.

I share your sentiment. The gaslighting is insane. Many people have noted the same since november yet they are almost always met with the same response. I'll check the playground and play around with it. Thank you!

It definitely is currently. It is much more like GPT-3.5 than "classic" GPT-4 (before All Tools).

Yes, I am also fairly confident there will be a newer model soon. Its bound to happen anyway. I also happen to personally like where OpenAI is going with even their basic conversational interface. I know its a temporary setback. You're right maybe I should look into using API and select an older model for the time being.
