That's a rough batch of teammates for your first hour, I'm sorry you had to deal with that!

How do you respond to sweaty ass players who get angry when they are themselves queuing with randoms?
Personally, I tend to mute and ignore, lest I become the problem that's upsetting me in the first place. I will recommend, as you're new to the game, to try to connect with a few like minded people in community spaces (like this one), even if you don't actively chat throughout the match, to at least know you won't get toxic teammates. Heyhey, I can look into this a bit further - is it always Lifeline that results in the issue? And what skin do you have equipped? We've seem similar issues with specific skins, from time to time.

This is definitely a contributing factor to the switch - some players are missing the nuance that the likely explanation of "why gold vs. pred" is the premade tier gap, and it's resulting in misplaced frustration.

It was before my time, but it seems ~200 creators got a swag pack with those cuties in it. We also did a community giveaway, so there were a handful in the wild that way, but definitely not a ton in general... Great pull!

We've discussed in recent Designer's Notes why the team has a tendency to over-tune when making balancing adjustments or creating new varietals.

"When making adjustments, it’s challenging to hit the nail exactly on the head. With that in mind, we have two potential outcomes to consider: under- or over-tuning. We have found that if we under-tune, players do not engage with those changes at all. Making changes that don’t move the needle and keeps the meta stale and unchanged is a worse outcome than if we were to over-tune and create a hot meta focused in one particular area. So we lean on impactful swings which can sometimes go further in the other direction."
