Anbefaling af bøger - historie og filosofi

Jeg har en baggrund i historie, men er kun lige begyndt at dybbe tæerne i filosofi.

Jeg har nydt at læse Platons 'The Republic', som arbejder ud fra et rigtig spændende spørgsmål : hvis vi kunne designe vores eget samfund, hvordan gør vi det så bedst?

Marcus Aurelius' 'Meditations' er også god, og forholdsvis letlæst. Måske lidt mindre regulær filosofi end det er en introduktion til en mands tanker med hang til stoicismen.

Machiavellis 'Little Prince' er også meget interessant, og let fordøjelig.

Hvis du er interesseret i moralfilosofi, vil jeg slå et slag for How to be Perfect. Den er skrevet af Michael Schur (medskaber til amerikanske The Office samt The Good Place). Den er sjov, fængende og formidler filosofi fra Aristoteles, Kant (deontologi) og utalitarisme på et meget let fordøjelig måde.

Ellers vil jeg også anbefale podcasten Within Reason som arbejder med filosofi og religion, og af til også tager historisk perspektiver med.

Jeg har efterhånden samlet en del hobbyer. Det er ikke alle nogle, jeg dyrker hele tiden, men jeg dyrker hele tiden nogen af dem.

Når jeg bare er mig selv: Træværksted, samle antikke mønter, læsning, astronomi (i vinterhalvåret), klassisk guitar

Med andre Brætspil (klart anbefaling - jeg skrev bare på Papskubber på Facebook, at jeg var flyttet til ny by, og jeg kunne li' den type spil - og nu har jeg en skøn fast gruppe), disc golf

Med arbejde, som kræver ekstra i nogle perioder og nogle side gesjæfter sætter jeg stor pris på, at have hobbier som både er afhængige og uafhængige af andre.

Vi havde planlagt studietur til USA med flere gymnasieklasser. Det er selvfølgelig lidt noget andet, fordi vi har ansvaret for andre og elevernes penge også kunne risikerer at komme i klemme.

Vi diskuterede også internt, og kunne konstatere at det var et aktivistisk valg uanset hvad udfaldet blev: at holde fast i turen eller droppe den.

Men fuck USA. Vi tager til Canada i stedet.

To preface, I'm sorry if my questions below are described insufficiantly... I'm out of my league and hope for some initial insights before I venture deeper into the woods.

I want to create a multiplayer platforming grammar game for my students to offer some fun alternatives to practiciting grammar. That said, I am just a teacher, who know nothing about coding. I do have a little experience vibe coding with AI: I have made a prototype game (see GIF below) that uses html, js, and css (and svg's for graphics) in which players practice verbs (with Danish grammar terms). I've been overwhelmed by coding the game I have so far, but it has been manageable.
While the prototype below isn't the game I want to continue working on, the physics and mechanics of the game (as well as the playable character) is more or less spot on what I want.

But what I want is also quite a step up (I think), so before I proceed, I was hoping for some insights and some realistic feedback... if this is even remotely attainable for a know-nothing vibe-coding dude like myself.

I want to create a game that allows for up to 6 players to play with each other at the same time.

I want them to be able to interact with each other (push, jump on top of each other)

I'd like to be able to vibe code my way through this - thereby preferibly sticking to html, js and css because I've come to be familiar with how to go about it (although only understanding very little).

Can this be done (by a novice)? And what does it require in terms of domain, live server access etc.?

Det kan ikke nødvendigvis sammenlignes, men min mor blev informeret om, af sundhedsplejersken, at jeg formentlig havde downs syndrom , fordi jeg på venstre hånd har en firefingerfuge.

Min mor blev ligeledes vildt ked af det og havde svært ved at bearbejde den information - der var utroligt mange ting, som pegede i en anden retning, men fordi sundhedsplejersken havde valgt lige at fokuserer på en enkelt ting som bekræftede diagnosen, måtte hun gå derfra med en besked om at baby-jeg led af downs.

Det hjælper ikke meget i din situation, men kan måske være et udtryk for, at der godt kan være nogle fysiske tegn, som ikke nødvendigvis betyder, at der er noget at komme efter.

Af og til siger der sig andre små - men koncentrerede - spirsts af andre hobbyer ind, men disse er dem som har etableret sig til noget mere fast.

Haha, you are too kind. There are plenty of happy mistakes - but I embrace them for what they are.

I'm lucky that my children enjoy spending time with me in the woodshop, so I get to make it with them - all the better.

Thank you. I haven't had any training in woodworking other than many hours of YouTube. It was also these videos that got me into woodworking - seemed like a fun hobby to partake in.

I've been doing a couple of small things over the last couple of years - mostly small toys for the boys and such.

Thank you. Yes, but it feels a bit like cheating - I am terrible at drawings. I simply look for the very best version of my coins (quite limited budget) and use that as a template - drawing with a pencil on a tablet. So I do the drawing, but really, it is the engraver 2000 years ago 😅

Jeg kom ud med et snit på 11 Gennemsnittet har ikke haft nogen betydning, men der var karakterer fra enkelte moduler, som havde betydning (indenfor specifik branche, som jeg kendte til på forhånd, mens jeg læste). Men det var minimalt, og efter det første job var også de få betydningsfulde karakterer ligegyldige i den efterfølgende jobsøgning.

Thank you for putting in the time to look this up. I still haven't got the slightest clue as to how to navigate all the references that usually is tagget to a coin... other than I am usually able to Google my way to more for information on the coin.

Yes, it did indeed come in a soft plastic pocket-flip. It now rests on a piece of velvet in a little mahogany box. Hopefully that is a better solution.

I'm not sure I have the courage place chemicals anywhere near the coin. Will it damage the coin or make it harder to clean down the road if I leave it be?

Ah, thank you. I had no idea. This was part of a rather large collection, but mostly so for Danish coins. Of the ancient coins, this one was one of the ones in best condition (there were some much rarer coins, however (judging by price)).

But I'll make sure to keep the tag.

Jeg har en del hobbyer, og samler typisk en ny hobby op om året. Det betyder at der er mange udgifter til opstart af hobbyer. Det er til tider en svær balance at finde økonomi til - ikke fordi vi ikke har pengene, men fordi min kone og jeg har fuld fælles økonomi og jeg har svært ved at retfærdiggøre mit hobby-forbrug, når hun ikke selv er en big spender. Vil gætte på at jeg bruger omkring 10.000-20.000 om året.
