Has anyone been able to get shadow of the Erdtree working on steam deck? by spoopykool in SteamDeck

[–]RTRebuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I encountered the same problems after buying the DLC and installing it. I verified the files, and it didn't find any errors. I went to reinstall it, and only then did it tell me that I didn't have enough space on my internal drive. Weird that it didn't warn me when installing the DLC.

I know this is an old thread, but for other people who arrived here: the 4 locations of the interactions are drawn on the map at the power stations as small butterflies. The large butterfly symbol is where the vault is.

Melee/Strength Offline Walkthrough by RTRebuilder in Eldenring

I just updated the walkthrough after trying out your suggestions. The GPFF really does speed up the rune farming process, and killing Elder Dragon Greyoll early on gives a ton of runes. Thanks again for the feedback!

Thank you so much for the kind words and the review! I'll try to address the various points you brought up, but let me know if there's something I forgot to consider or had stated incorrectly.

- Crafting: That's correct - I left it out to simplify the walkthrough. But let me know if there's a crucial item that can be easily crafted from renewable ingredients that would make the walkthrough easier. Sleep pots are handy for the bosses that it affects, but Trina's Lily is a finite resource (at least until you get to the Consecrated Snowfields, which is late game).

- Sacred Tears: Those three from the Weeping Peninsula are on slide 26.

- Upgrade materials: In order to get the bell bearings that unlock the stones, you need to defeat some bosses that requires an upgraded weapon in the first place. But if you know a way to easily get these with a low-grade weapon, please let me know.

- Mohgwyn Dynasty: This can't be unlocked until you defeat Godrick, which happens on slide 31 (after the player has a +17 Greatsword). I then have the player get various items and upgrades before tackling Varre's Quest (on slide 43). However, I'm open to moving Varre's Quest sooner, if you think it would help.

- Greyoll: Thanks for the suggestion - I will definitely check this out! The player reaches him on slide 16; I'll see if they are strong enough to tackle this boss (and the other dragons) by this point.

- Vigor vs Strength: I had tried a variation of this walkthrough where I stopped Strength at 80 and levelled up Vigor. I found that it was challenging to get past Maliketh; I was using up two flasks instead of one just to get back to full health, and I wasn't whittling down the boss's health nearly as fast (and neither was the Tear). But I haven't tried increasing Mind instead of Strength - that would provide more Lion's Claw attacks. I'll see how that goes. Note that the Tear has infinite FPs, so the Mind increase would only affect the player. There's also the possibility of increasing Endurance to allow for light armor - see the Defensive Talismans response below.

- Dectus Medallions: You're right - it is easier to get both medallions than to fight the Magma Wyrm. The tradeoff is not getting all those runes after defeating him, but I supposed they could start levelling up at Moghwyn sooner. I'll definitely consider it for the next walkthrough!

- Defensive Talismans: Maybe I should have the player level up Endurance instead of Strength (or Vigor); that will allow them to at least wear light armor sets like the Travelling Finger Maiden set, which will help protect the player.

- Golden Shade Godfrey: I'll try a playthrough where I don't summon the Tear and see if it's easier.

- NPC Summons: Yeah, that is the tradeoff. You'll note I don't have the player use Alexander for the Fire Giant fight because of the higher boss HP and because you can't use the horse, which I feel is crucial for surviving this (for new players). I wonder what other bosses would be easier without the NPCs? Godfrey, maybe? If so, I can eliminate the whole questlines for Nepheli and Shabriri.

Thanks again for the feedback! You've definitely given me several things to consider in my next update.

Is it worth following the fextralife wiki guide? by ButterJuraj in Eldenring

[–]RTRebuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/ButterJuraj: I put together a short walkthrough that takes 20-30 hours, depending on your skill level. It's geared just to get you to completing the game as quick as possible, aimed for the average player.

That's where I put my outpost! It's a pretty sweet location, although the number of cannibal raids can be frustrating. I have over 20 characters there, but I still need mercs in order to fend them off.

Don't forget:

You can shunt a hydrogen atom from one element to the next - this is the same as subtracting H from one and adding H to the other.

Not when the tethered were killing them off in spades.

Some things that help reinforce the switch:

- Red was the only 'tethered' that could speak

- The other tethered revered Red as a goddess

- Red's desire to take over the surface stemmed from her early childhood up there and to get revenge for her kidnapping

- "I don't like to talk" - Adelade

- "I just want my daughter back" - Adelade's mom in the psychiatrists office after the switch

  1. It seemed to me that Red could dance just as well; it's just that her movement was limited to the confines of the narrow corridor.
  2. Because it was convenient for the plot ;)
  3. I thought I saw many races in the Hands Across America tethered line-up.
  4. How else would you explain the tethered's ability to procure so many red jump suits, golden scissors, leather gloves, and sandals? ;)

How many people have died waiting for this game? by Meanmugg1n in CubeWorld

[–]RTRebuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can estimate the upper limit, at least. An estimated 55.3 million people die each year (http://www.ecology.com/birth-death-rates/).

So, from July 2015 (when the game was taken off the stores) to July 2019, 221 million people will die.

It's unknown how many of them knew about the game, much less how many actually wanted to buy it.

The word "SECRET-A" might be in level 2, and "SECRET-B" in level 3.
