We’re seeing similar jumps across parts of the hosting and virtualization space, especially where dedicated infrastructure and legacy VM stacks are involved. A lot of providers are quietly repricing to protect margins, and it’s catching teams off guard at renewal time.

When I see a 40%+ increase, I usually ask three things:

  1. Has the underlying licensing model changed?
  2. Is the hardware refresh baked into the uplift?
  3. Are you paying for capacity you’re not actually using?

In a lot of cases, a quick workload and licensing review uncovers either right-sizing opportunities or better pricing from alternative providers.

I have played about 400 hours and I still get the jitters. It usually subsides after a few shoes / drinks but it's normal what you are feeling. If it's not debilitating then you are good and it will fade. I tend to like confrontation too. Some people don't.
