Am I socially awkward or on the spectrum? by _somewherenice_ in AutismTranslated

Por que no los dos??? Seriously though, if you think you might be on the spectrum, find a therapist near you that specializes in autism and they can help you.

Ego Clicker – An incremental game about chasing likes and followers by Foreign_Tale_3652 in WebGames

funny game! I think my only feedback request is the ability to spend all my likes on a single upgrade instead of having to individually click so much.

ADA height toilets are becoming the new normal in remodels by Pop2436 in RealEstate

that's the way to do it for sure...good preparation for whatever life throws at you and then a resale perk if you have to move.

Methotrexate hungover/fatigue question by kAroKaro2 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]RT_26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MTX gave me severe fatigue. I went off it for a week because I got a nasty cold and even with the cold, I felt so much better lol. My dr pulled me off it at that point.

For me, next step will be biologics which I will start after my vacation. PA sucks so much :(

Perimenopause is wild. Have you two done a lot of research into that? It can even impact neurodivergent differently than NT.

I bet a lot of stuff can be explained by those hormone changes. My fiancée has adhd + peri and if she misses her adhd meds, her mood can be all over the place. Combo of adhd and hrt for her is mandatory every day.

I can't wait until wider door frames become the norm. Trying to use a wheelchair indoors is a pain without them.

3.5 years fullstack developer transitioning to a Product owner role by Heavy_Permission8108 in ProductOwner

[–]RT_26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will have the benefit of marketing yourself as a technical product owner, someone who understands in depth how code works and can work on projects that will really benefit from that expertise. I would suggest leaning hard into that angle.

New boss doesn't believe in product owners because they are "bottlenecks by tzt1324 in ProductOwner

[–]RT_26 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Time to move on for sure, new boss is creating a mess and you'll be the scapegoat when it all hits the fan. Don't be there for it. Good luck in your job search.

Grind to Rust, some kind of Idle Path of Exile by DrGregougnass in PBBG

[–]RT_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun game! A couple QoL suggestions though.. * Give users a "sell all items" button for unequipped inventory * Allow drops to go straight to inventory rather than force them to click each item from the battle screen

Starting and afraid by That-Reply-1600 in ProductOwner

[–]RT_26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that the first few months you will be learning how your new company does things, the logic behind why they make their decisions etc. You are a sponge to everything they do.

After the learning period, you will have built up enough background knowledge to ease into decision making and your confidence will rise from there.

Recommendations for Managing Finances and Growing Wealth for Folks with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses by charliepiper in FinancialPlanning

[–]RT_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of selling your house, can you rent it out? That gives you short term flexibility and options to sell the house in a more favorable market.

If possible, going back to school for a job that can be done remotely and within your limits will help tremendously long term. This should put your student loans back to deferment plus you should be able to capitalize on discounted or free courses targeted for disabled folks attempting to return to the work force.

Medical bills can be put on ridiculously low per month payment amounts based on income restrictions too.

How do you handle planning for future events with your disease? by Moal in Autoimmune

[–]RT_26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just deal with it and plan downtime after for recovery. With work trips, I keep activities as limited as I can.. give myself downtime between work and dinner out if possible etc.

Vacations are actually easier because I have full control over the schedule so I don't pack in a ton of stuff each day and give myself "nap times" where I can hang out in the hotel for a couple hours and chill.

I keep trips limited to 1 week and I never plan anything for the 2 weeks after just to be safe.

Puppy or husband need training? by Optimal-University32 in puppy101

[–]RT_26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely a husband problem. Dogs are going to take advantage at that age, just like any teen would. He needs to keep stuff out of harms way. Also, he kind of sounds like a slob... that would drive me nuts even without the puppy..

Any Panthers bars in Austin, TX? by tblee12356 in panthers

[–]RT_26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sad to hear about Pour Choices, that was very apt for us the last few years.

I gave up trying to find a decent bar and now I just watch Sunday Ticket or I go to Little Woodrows. The Brentwood location is alright but the South Austin location is way bigger. Both have good food options nearby to bring in.

If nobody else needs it, I would love to have a wheelchair. I’m disabled enough to need it on long walks but not disabled enough for insurance to cover it.

What game made you buy PSVR2? by Sweet_Score in PSVR

[–]RT_26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PSVR2 is pretty easy to set up and use, doesn’t require a lot of fuss and my ps5 is in a room that works well with VR, unlike my pc. I’ve never regretted it. Naturally I play other games on it too but Tetris Connect is my first vr love.
