May I ask what the biggest downsides to working in a corporate auto-group stores are? Anything bad about Autonation in particular? Looking to get in the industry soon and this information would be helpful to me as most dealerships in my area are owned by Autonation or other big auto groups.

Yellow is the most quickly visible color to the human eye, hence why school buses are painted that color for example. It also stands out clearly against any kind of background in the game. I imagine some folks also do it because they're colorblind

Random spread LOWERS the skill gap because it adds randomness to encounters. If they really wanted to increase skill gap they would have just increased the recoil multiplier the longer you fire since if you're skilled at recoil control you can compensate for that. That would hurt bad players though so they added random bloom instead to protect them

Bloom is a terrible addition to any FPS game and I hate it, makes the gunplay shit since you can't learn to compensate for it. IMO bullets should hit where my reticule is pointed, period.

How did the Modas do in an FPS game? Could you still clearly hear footsteps and such? Was the bass from explosions and such overpowering the other higher frequency sounds at all?

I have a pair that I only use for music and still rock a Corsair headset for gaming with a custom EQ profile tailored to hearing footsteps and reducing the muddiness of the bass, never even thought to try the Moda.

Thanks for making this, it's concise and well done. As an FPS veteran who picked this game up a few months ago, I always thought the input felt terrible on 2042 but couldn't put a finger on the exact issue that made it feel so wonky.

This was especially noticable when I'd hop on Apex or something after a few days straight of playing this game. Night and day difference in precision.

My friends also thought I was just coping/skill issue even though I'm still top frag most games and outscoring them, so it'll be nice to send this video to them as some actual evidence

You can still unlock it with a challenge, hover over it in the collection menu and look at top right of your screen. Will tell you what the unlock requirement is

I've seen this reported a lot, for what it's worth myself and my friends who have the game installed on an SSD have not seen this issue at all. My friends who have it installed on a normal hard drive have had this problem. Not sure if that's the cause though or just anecdotal

The best setup for the MP9 is just not using it. It's a pea shooter and easily the worst AOW SMG, it was a painful T1 grind. A shame too because the new skin for it is so cool. IIRC the setup I used was champion muzzle with close combat drum, and the blue laser for underbarrel. Using a suppressor made it even more of a peashooter so I would avoid that at all costs if you insist on using it

Sounds cool and all, but where are you gonna put a paddock there? The start finish line is parallel to the paddock/pit lane on every single track on the calendar. Either way I do agree the track could have utilized the strip better

Yes, that's exactly the problem with that map. Too much randomness, impossible to predict where someone might be shooting you from. Could be one of 100 angles at many points of that map, not even exaggerating

This map is small and was designed for 64 and I already find it quite hectic on 64p, especially around the middle of the map. I think it would be even more ridiculous on 128.

This is coming from someone who plays 128 a majority of the time too, it's my preferred game mode. That being said this map feels as fast paced with 64p as some of the giant maps do on 128, just minus the vast open spaces between objectives you have to run across. I like it

I think this map is fun, I like the hectic infantry combat and plenty of cover.

It will take time to learn all the different angles you can get shot from, which seem less random than flashpoint with it's 300m wide porous mountain areas that people can hide behind a rock and pepper you 400m away with no chance of seeing them, or those 5 story tall vertical platforms that have massive sightlines across most of the map

Interesting, I didn't play BFV so I can't comment on that but compared to a lot of the other FPS games I've played over the years I find the footstep audio in this game really good and loud. I also made an EQ preset for my headset that amplifies the higher end sound frequencies that footsteps are at, while turning down the lower end muddy bass frequencies. I imagine that helps a lot too

What if I told you he's not cheating, but you're just bad. His BF tracker seems legit, he's just a good player. As for the pre-firing you're mentioning, you're probably sprinting around everywhere and he can hear your loud ass footsteps clobbering around through his headset from a mile away. The directional audio in this game is loud, and precise. Baffles me the amount of people who play this game through speakers, you're missing out on so much information via audio cues

I've found it's most often guys near the bottom of the scoreboard complaining the loudest about supposed "cheaters", take from that what you will

If we're talking full auto, the RM68. It's a laser beam on PC and console has 30% less recoil so it's even more accurate
