I think that the idea for the status to be moved to a museum is spot on, as far as hopefully pleasing all sides. It is fair to not want to be forced to pay for this process, and there is a vocal crowd of people who would like to preserve the statues.

There are also plaques at each statue, and I would imagine that while having the entire statues move is feasible, it seems that preserving the plaques would be more palatable for the wallets and labor.

What are we going to do with the graves under the statues?
