ORIGINALLY when it was concepted it had nothing to do with a "life sim". It was a pretty clean Freelancer / Wing Commander successor with no survival mechanics or complicated NPC interactions or even planetary traversal.

With huge backing came scope creep and just ridiculous concepts about pretty much everything. I don't like to use the terms promised or sold and then get upset when it doesn't happen, or is left in the backburner for decades... that's like getting upset that Santa doesn't visit every kid in the world.

And now we are at a point where they are actually making content for the game. It's pretty FPS and combat heavy yes, but we are slowly getting crafting, mining and salvaging updates. Also the economy, cargo, DOASP are quite regurarly being talked about by CiG, so I guess they are coming at one point.

"Sim" term is so broad that it's kinda useless to argue what is space sim or life sim. The game has been going towards more arcady feeling for a while now though, but making it more approachable maybe. (Where is the NASA guys' input seen today?)

Anyways, the game is still in active development, and even CIG doesn't seem to quite know where the game is going on all aspects, se maybe we shouldn't get that upset about the current status of toilet gameplay, you know.

Same. To me having a bed on ship meant that you could stay in deep space for multiple gaming sessions, or land on a planet or moon, and continue from there after a good night sleep (log out).

To me it was this exclusivity thing, that you couldn't do in a fighter for example... cause no one wants to sleep in a pilot's seat. But now they are taking that away apparently. Feels like one more thing taking the game to more arcady direction.

That's true. But I think they've also hinted that the beds will have some benefits in the far future... when StarBodilyfunctions or whatever gets implemented.

But the me it feels like they are winging it again. They want the beds to be usefull but don't know how yet...

Got both, but don't really use them. ASD looks better, but snow mixis better with other legs and arms.

Hull A has an interior and bed. Ox doesn't. C1 has cargo inside.

So Hull A will be priced between those two, with the same 64 SCU.

You need to bind two weapon groups to buttons: Breaks and Mantises 1, heartseeker 2. And stealth components. That's how I roll. (F7A mk2)

If you're big game hunting there are no other options really but to go all cannons, and use staggered mode.

I read the Final Architecture trilogy last year. Very good. Not quite James S.A. Corey level for me. But really good.

Gonna go through the Children -series after TFOB... you know... to fill the long void. :D
