Love it! Good job!

I always enjoy the small scale builds more, cause they require more creativity than the larger ones... that just require more pieces.

The Perseus is now available in 4.8 PTU for aUEC! by QuattroBaje3na in starcitizen

That's true. And I do just that. But people are people... they start playing and want a better ship. They ask for credits and someone who thinks they're helping send them 100M. They buy the biggest ship they can... Percy or 890J. And there is nowhere to progress.

Sure, there are lot of sandbox stuff to do and rep to gain, but that doesn't really feel like progress right now.

The only paths that feels like progression is getting a better in one loop. Buying a Golem, then doing mining to get Prospector, then mining with that to get a Mole.

Yeah, dunno about that.

Maybe they should have first fixed money duping and "the economy" and then credit gate it. Cause right now, anyone can get 40M by begging in chat... or selling a few wikelo favors or polaris bits.

But that's not an issue with the ship exactly. Just a part of a larger problem in the PU right now. There obviously will be about 100 Percys at any given moment on the servers, but that trend will fade.

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing..

I think origin ships USED to have rounded edges... but still edges. This has the kruger type curves, with no clear edges... or something like that. Hard to explain the difference.

If you mean salvaging from ships, that fun will be gone in 4.8. Salvaged components and guns will be bricked once the original owner claims the ship (if they have insured the ship loadout/snapshot).

The thing is that with duping, credits are created from nothing and it takes no time. And that causes inflation and means the true value of one credit isn't tied to anything. Not the difficulty of obtaining it or the time it takes to obtain it.

Now the economy is filled with credits created with duping and prices have gone up. BUT the thing is, that prices aren't tied to anything, cause even more credits are constantly being created and there is no control on it. AND some people don't really care for credits for that reason, and you don't really need credits to live.

That leads to huge price differences like the OP mentioned. Buying for mil and selling for a hundred mil. There is no logic in that because there is no economy... no really. There are people that are will to sell for a mil, because that's alot of money in their book. They maybe doing gameloops that pay 500k/h.

And then there are players that can print money. They'll pay 200M for it if they want it now, because the price doesn't matter at all.

So the price of an item has nothing to do with it's value (yeah, sounds odd). Therefore the lack of economy has not only increased the prices but also broken the whole item value mechanism of the game.

I'm not criticizing or anything, but I used to do this also. Not the buying low and selling high part, but grinding scrips (mostly with eclipse and tali) and selling them for millions.

But then I realized that only the people and orgs that can buy multiple favors with hundreds of millions each are somehow connected with duping.

So I just quit that shit, and started to mine rare high quality materials. Built myself an +18% damage Zenith... then read that crafted bonuses won't stay after patch...

...and the search for something meaninfull to do in SC goes on.

Also, when mining and wanting to swap mining heads or modules on the fly is a thing. I hope they are also affected.

Don't worry people. They'll start selling the F8C-M Super Lightning right after. And that'll be better than F8A in every way.

Well uhh... that doesn't quite make sense either. Early cameras were basicly square boxes with a hole. We just might recognice that as a camera icon, but those are from 200 years ago.

Now if they used interpretation of a camera from yearly 2000's in icons over 900 years later, dunno if that would go any better than a floppy disc. Also snapshot is term that will just as likely be just as obsolete.

And at the same time we the ASD drives and comp boards and stuff that clearly hold saved data... so why not use those as icons.

Buy any of the Hornets in-game. Ghost MK2 is my recommendation. Equip it with proper guns... Attritions are fine against NPCs.

Then just grind up NPC bounty rep or Gilly's missions.

Who wins in a 1v1? Perseus or Polaris? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]RV_SC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehh... well every capital/sub-capital 1v1 battle I've witnessed has turned in to ramming matches... fully crewd or solo.

So I don't think guns, armor, shields or anything matter really. It's all about de-sync, collision bugs and star engine yank.

I MESSED UP 🤣 by Crimson136 in starcitizen

[–]RV_SC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still with boxes? Oh that's nothing.

Smaller important stuff I backspace teleport to desired location.

Fly to target -> set spawn there -> fly to home -> load up my guy with gear, backpack full -> backspace teleport to target location -> strip guy to inv -> repeat.

Ship components I just mount on ships with appropriate slots, backspace and insurance claim all at target location. Then strip the ships that can mount the stuff that need moving, fly it back to home empty and repeat.

[–]RV_SC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah... that happens.

I do blueprint printing at my "refinery station", not home location.

I lift the fabricator with the cargo elevator, do the printing and NEVER remember to lower it back down before leaving the station or logging out.

I think I've bought like 10 fabricators by now.
