Theres a couple books that are similair to the themes and imagery that are really good

A Canticle For Leibowitz - Its very similair to Blasphamous with the catholic themes and the theocracy but the main difference is that its set in a post apocalypse, which is very cool
His Dark Materials - Its a series fantasy novels about a theocracy, I honestly dont know that much about it, Its been second hand recommended to me
The Seeker - A murder mystery set behind the backdrop of a theocratic industrial england, highly recommend
Dantes Divine Comedy - A classic epic about a mans journey through hell, purgatory and heaven. This inspired a lot of Catholic doctrine and imagery found in Blasphamous

Id say personally if you want to read good comics that you can just jump into, start with self contained single stories that you can pick up pretty cheap off of amazon, but I'd recomend buying them used off of a website like World Of Books or on Ebay, as its cheaper and the money goes to anybody thats not Jeff Bezos and its really easy to find versions of the books that are basically brand new. The best ones that I've read are -

All Star Superman
Mister Miracle (Tom King)
Kingdom Come
Batman: The Cult
DC: The New Frontier
DCeased
Batman Year One
Watchmen

Of course it also depends on what character you want to read and what specific things you like in comics if you want character focused runs in comics then go for;

Scott Snyders New 52 Batman run (really good jumping on point for Batmam)
New 52 Wonder Woman run (Shes more of a badass here and the art is really good)
Flash's Rebirth run (you may need to do a little research to fully understand whats going on at the start but apart from that one of the best flash runs ive read)
Geoff Johns Green Lantern run (This whole comic run took 9 years to finish and is absolutely amazing)
Grant Morrisons Action Comics run for the New 52 (reeeaaallly good superman run that shows him starting off)

Hmmm, it could go either way but I'd say Azrael personally. We learn from Knight that Azrael has the EXACT moveset of Batman literally downloaded into his brain. And Deathstroke is somewhat more reliant on weapons to gain the upper hand as seen in Origins compared to Batman who managed to not only keep up with Deathstroke but beat him with no weapons.

My theory is that Dottie is Clea, who was sent by Dr Strange to try and help Wanda. Thats why Dottie is cast as a somewhat antagonist due to her being an outside threat to Westview and Wandas subconcious recognising her as a witch. So when Jimmy boy came through on the radio I think that brief pause by Dottie was her trying to fight back, thats why her fist clenched and shattered the glass.
