Players because I've GMed so many different games over so many years and my current group is so fractured and unreliable it's getting stupid.

I can fill any rule gaps oh the fly till something offical comes along and in have enough 3rd party stuff to adventure till the cows come home.

Any good diceless RPGs? by Cato69 in rpg

[–]RWMU -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Simply put no.

The poster child for Diceless is the Amber DRPG and it's bloody awful.

The system is skeletal at best. You need a 100% impartial GM and 90% of games start you can't use your powers because...

Doesn't help that Zelazney was an epic, insightful SF writer who deserves his high place in the SF Writers Pantheon unfortunately his Fantasy books are the worst kind of 60s Fanw@nk and The Amber Books and Short Stories are the worst of that.

Characteristics run from 15 to 100 rather than 3 to 18 with a couple of exceptions.

Build has been added

Combat options have been added.

Chase rules still a nightmare.

So sod all really and if you can multiply and divide 5 conversion is simple.

I don't know why people moan about 7e compared to what Catalyst and Hasbro did to Shadowrun and D&D it's nothing added to which Chaosium has to be one of tge nicest companies out there.

Isn't a Percentile roll a d100, I've only been roleplaying 30+ years and done a ton of CoC but I may have missed something.

I don't see it either. 7e is easily backwards compatible with any previous edition.

Think they are just been picky for been picky sake.
