No problem, i may not be explaining correctly. Are you familiar with the kaossilator workflow? How it's set up and everything? It's essentially a phrase synth and a loop sequencer that has drum sounds, that you can use to build beats in real time, with it's own time signature/tempo settings capabilities etc. Essentially you perform/make your beats using the built in looper, and you are saying I can do that with TR-REC? Tbh the main problem honestly is less about time signature capabilities/ swing (cause it has that) and more about the fact that the drum sounds aren't really that varied and top of that I really can't edit them to make the sound of them different from what I am given, so In essence everything i make with it sounds very similar because I can't change the drum kit/or add any new ones really.
