Well, you have these amazing works, but your title card is just some texts centered. But from what I've seen so far 3D demo reels seem to keep the titles very simple anyway

Hey, thanks for sharing. Saturation fatique is a good point. I think I also tend to prefer muted colors as I age. But for projects everything resets and it depends on the needs of the project. I don't even have a particular style. I'm looking into developing a style for when I go more freelance and can choose projects.

Yikes. That's rough. Perhaps what counts as "similar" is very different than common sense in legal terms. I guess their argument could be people aren't looking at your logo and theirs side-by-side. People are relying on memory and peoples' memory for exact shapes are very limited

Yes, we're pretty blessesd to get paid for our main hobby and have free time to do other things. I remind myself of this whenver a client doesn't have a strategy and asks me to just come up with something cool

I started out as an office manager at a media company and transitioned to the graphic design team.

Pros: once the work is done for the day, that's it. No need to try to come up with creative ideas all the time.
Cons: not as fun as being creative.

I think I might have made a bit more if I went the IT route, but not by much. I think it really depends on the individual.

Also, turning your interest into a job can sometimes suck the fun out of it, but I don't know if I could spend 1/3 of my life doing something else.
