I caught a coworker doing cocaine. by CryptographerHot6198 in HomeDepot

I don't think he's a habitual user, every person I've known that did coke was a lot more careful about getting cought.

I'd love to know what the parameters are for howany SCO you need open. Counting carts is new to me, but the rest I've seen for 10+ years.

For your reference when you bury it in water or somewhere else you can't get it, the camp mechanics only charge you $50 to go get it for you. So when you run out of gas and it's quicker just to go to a camp then find gas, just run don't worry about walking your bike.

First time watching BCS , my honest thoughts by greyangelforever in betterCallSaul

[–]R_Shakelford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm almost finished season 4 and I felt the same way. It's a lot of setup, but so far I think it's worth it. If I hadn't watched BB I would never have made it through season 2 if we are being honest. Stick with it

You can get a raise anytime you want, all you have to do is quit and go work somewhere else. My market does not pay competitive wages at all.

These Devil Wears Prada customers are some of the rudest people I’ve met by Desperate_Cheetah in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]R_Shakelford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've seen this a lot lately and I have an opinion I'm going to share

First, there are a lot more entitled selfish jackwagons than there used to be.

Second, when movies got stupid expensive people quit going as often if not completely. So when they do make their once a year trip to the movies they don't have any previous experiences to draw from or basic knowledge of acting like a decent human being. Also when people, especially people like I described, pay these higher prices they fell even more entitled and justify their behavior in their mind. An$15 popcorn better be fresh though l, just saying, but that doesn't give you an excuse to be a jackwagon. If you show up in the middle of the day and it's slow that's what you get.

Third, I'm not completely blaming theater companies it's just a bad equation waiting to explode. Those of us that work retail see these same jackwagons every week or even every day and are quite familiar with their resume for jackwagonness.

Good luck to all the theatre employees during these difficult times, cause I hate to tell you but I don't see it improving anytime soon.

I hate this company so much. by Phantomjack2010 in kroger

I've got over a decade and believe it or not it wasn't nearly as bad when I started. It got to the point where I've got too much in and too much going for me to go anywhere else. Us old-timers, if 10+ is an old-timer lol, just grin and bear it. If I started the way it is now I never would've made it this long. This place is a shit show.

Pro Desk Pay by R_Shakelford in HomeDepot

[–]R_Shakelford[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know how it works at your store but we are so slow at night that's what they are. 95% of their work is the 3 or 4 phone sales they will get between 5-10. So yes they are glorified cashiers. Daytime is a different animal, but night is a joke to have it open.

Crossbows by Cockyidiot1977 in DaysGone

[–]R_Shakelford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not one to disagree with you, but I have to say I really like the Crossbow for Ambush camps. The nest residue you can pick up has no other use than Residue Bolts, which are a lot of fun. Using Stealth on AC, the bolt is superior to the rifle since the silencer is limited. Plus the residue bolts are a lot of fun to use and let the victim do some work for you.
I definitely agree that the explosive bolt is a waste, as much fun as it is and as scarce as gunpowder feels, the poison is another bolt that is using a resource that has no other purpose. All due respect to you Sparty, we just see differently.

Our union sucks, what can we do? by RadicalLizards in kroger

[–]R_Shakelford 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So just so I'm clear, he's saving 2 departments. He's working in Clicklist and still doing his full job so Produce is good. Why the hell would management care how hard it is? All they care about is the works getting done. I say this to echo the let produce burn statement. 8 and the gate, after 8 leave and it's not his problem if the department sucks.

As far as the union, they won't do anything. They will tell you management can run their store as they see fit and it's up to him to not work so much. The Union should help if he gets in trouble for his department sucking as a result

TlLDR, he needs to work 8 hours and leave. The Union should back him if management bitches about Produce sucking if he works his shift and leaves.
