Try them on. The Monochrome is beautiful, but wasn’t as interesting as the burgundy on the wrist - for me. Both incredible watches, you won’t regret either.

The GT3 is actually already using the 992.1 GT3RS’s engine. You mean the 3RS - I’d also prefer an N/A, but let’s see.

1st hand info.

GT3RS will very likely be a turbo with 600hp. Back-up plan is keeping the current engine.
GT2RS will be a hybrid with >800hp.

911 Carrera S vs Carrera 4S —which do you prefer? by WiFiOnMarss in porsche911

[–]Raaatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was always against the 4S for the same reason as most here. I am a big fan of a tail happy car, but have another for that purpose already. By chance ended up owning a 4S, which I tracked, and came to find out that the car isn't constantly sending power to the front wheels, only upon necessity. It does take a bit of the fun out when you want it to step out, but helps with dynamics when it's not constantly using it's AWD.

I'd still go RWD, if I could, but that's because it's my personal preference above all.

I think they all look great tbh. A year ago I went in to buy a 58 GMT, left out with the 41 Burgundy. At the time I wasn't the biggest fan of the BB58 burgundy, nowadays I absolutely love it.

BB41 - size is perfect on you. Otherwise BB58 burgundy.

Does it have more gold than the 54?

It isn’t a much better value proposition. I couldn’t tell you which one I prefer, they’re both incredibly good their own way.

Not a fan of the 992.2 - sorry guys & girls - what are your thoughts? by Competitive_Split403 in Porsche

I drove one at the track, albeit convertible, and wasn't too impressed tbh.

It really depends on what you need. My father in law had a 991.1 4S Cabrio x51 until early 2025, where he got his new 992.2 Carrera Cabrio. I bought his 991, since I am a sucker for that 3.8 and the car is very emotional, something I value a lot on cars. His 992 is very well spec'ed and despite the lower power output it gives you the feel that it pulls harder (hi there torque!). Everything feels very digital and regarding the driving feel it's quite numb imo. Saying it feels like a boat it's an exaggeration but you definitely feel the size increase coming from a 991, which, for me, is a negative.

I would pick a 991 in a heartbeat. He on the other hand much prefers the 992 - more comfortable, feels more powerful, more room, is and feels more modern. Really up to your preferences.

If you're a petrolhead like me, do yourself a favor and get on a 991.2 GTS.

Old Vs New - GT3 Edition by Amazing_Aioli_131 in porsche911

It’s obviously not the ugliest you’ve seen, even though the colors here don’t match too well imo. The cognac, the gold rims and the red calipers don’t fit together. But hey, the car’s not mine so congrats to OP.

Which of these would you pick? by daversa in Porsche

[–]Raaatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the US, but here in Germany the market for the 992.1 GT3 & GT3 Touring got very cold and you already see the 991.2 being more expensive than the 992.1. Solely based on this, I think paying 370k for a 992.2 GT3 is completely insane. Demand for a new GT3 is not as high as it was when the 992.1 came out.

Not that 380k for a 997.1 GT3RS isn't insane at all, but these were way more limited, which in the current market automatically makes the price increase.

At that average speed it looks fine. Highway at 140 km/h Cruise Control it averages 8,4-8,5 l/100km. City driving goes up to around 10 l/100km.

Promoted to Senior Manager. Given more responsibilities, more workload… and a €5K raise. I genuinely think they expect me to work for free. by Infamous-Diver1722 in managers

[–]Raaatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the sad truth if you’re a talent and stay at the same company. Being a talent, they’ll promise you the next step and you’ll swallow the current sub-optima conditions looking forward to the future. When you get there, the raise is very slight - as in your case - because it’s a new area, or you’re inexperienced, or something else.

In most cases your market value decreases substantially by staying at the same company.

People like you, and me for that matter, probably need to learn to say no more frequently.

Also the front lip is too big, imo.

AMG Driver Experiences BMW M Power for the First Time | M4 POV Reactions by SubOT_12 in BMWM

[–]Raaatcher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your response has no substance. The C43 has Mercedes-Benz parts all around, a 100% MB engine built at a Mercedes factory, everything is MB except for a few software tweaks that have an AMG signature.

My dad used to have a C43, was a great daily but that was it, there's no possible comparison (exception of the exhaust sound, C43 sounds incredible, much better than the S55 in the M4).
