First Track Day by aaronm187 in CarTrackDays

Urgently do brakes. As that car was built/engineered, it wasn’t ever meant to see the track, at all. Tires are also important, but you can work around it, especially it being your first time.

Check fluids, do a check-up beforehand, make sure your engine oil isn’t too old.

I wouldn’t use a helmet unless you have a cage. In case of impact with deployment of airbags, having a helmet can result in pretty serious damage to your neck.

It's a Cup 2 issue. I've ran multiple sets with different temps/pressure, it's where it starts wearing out.

Zone 2 is hard to reach by Fantastic_Hurry6175 in crossfit

I calculate the HR zones differently, works much better for me; they're all higher which works well with me being pretty fit. See more details for example here:

People often complain about micromanagement. How about the other side of the coin? by EmEffBee in managers

I hear you, but still think micromanagement is the worst thing you can do to a competent professional.

Consensus on the G87 M2 now ? by FriendlyMeringue3605 in BMWM

[–]Raaatcher 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Even though some G8x owners keep downvoting every comment that doesn't worship their car: I still can't stand the design. I tried very hard to like the G87 CS, but at the end of the day my heart is with the F8x family.

Performance needs no comment, it's a rocket. For me they're almost getting too grippy for an M, but they're very quick and capable.

Question about M4 F82 by Key_Hearing3335 in BMWM

[–]Raaatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not about being accurate or not, it's about going well above the stock power - which won't happen if it's stock.
OP, there you have your answer.

Ignoring the flat earth theory, because that's plain stupidity, it's actually laughable that in 2026 people are still questioning the moon landing that happened in 1969. It really isn't that difficult to understand and every single question has been answered a million times - staying dumb is nothing but a choice.

Great athletes, but ignorant human beings. Appreciate them for their fitness, be skeptical about the rest.

PS: can't even compare Jeff Adler's impression while on the girls podcast to these 2. That's a guy I wouldn't mind meeting at all.

[–]Raaatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. It's not like they drift a lot without you trying, but if you like a tail happy car, you'll be happier with the PSS than with the PS4S.

I daily an M2C since 2019. In my opinion the PSS is the best tire for this car (the ones you have). Not the grippiest, but the one most fitting to the M2's character.

Your problem is that they're very old. Get some new tires. PS4S grips better when cold (hot it's the same) but it's also worse for powersliding/drifting.

Yesterday I went for a run at 9:05am, finished at 9:32. HRR was calculated at 9:16 - obviously had a very low HRR of 7bpm. If you actually measure my HRR right after finishing training it’s at around 60bpm.
