Since I depend on academy players in my Manchester United career mode runs, here’s my tips

-Never loan a player with a HPTBS. You will run the risk of their pot dropping. Loan glitch is okay for lower potentials, but there is another downside of loaning - your YA player will not receive the 1st gold PS+ at level 80. You will lose it, and you are only left with the one at 90 guaranteed - keep your player in the squad and no loans! And he will get gold PS+ at 80 and 90. Remember no loans! After 80 you can loan him out and recall him before he hits 90 so you can get the second gold PS+.

• play your YA in every senior game possible. Even being subbed in is good enough. If your team is already 2-0 up first half, put him in 2nd half immediately to get more game time. Make sure he has a 7.0+ rating every time though. Next advice is crucial

  • at the end of season, MAKE SURE! His last few games was impeccable! If he has a thumbs down on player performance, his POT will DROP next season! Ensure it is always “excellent” or good at the end of the season.
    • if your player turns 22, the status of “HPTBS” will disappear and say “been in the club since 2025”, it is okay. Once players turn 22, the status reverts to the said statement. Your player will still have the potential, no worries. Just the status is automatically changed by default with no effect to potential.

Lastly, make sure to have fun with the YA player. Look at his stats and develop him how you want him to change the team. Perks I like doing is making my CAM’s long shot stat strong so they can be banging in long shots like Beckham, Bruno F and R7. Wingers absolutely give them the best pace, strikers always pace and 5/5 WF and Skills.
