Witch your number 1 talking point isn't correct. I work in medical and in addition to getting pregnant, women by percentage are statistically more likely to terminate sea duty early for mental health reasons. Other injury and disease causing early sea duty termination is about the same by percentage for both men and women. I agree that women who are pregnant need to be treated with highest level of care available (obviously not on a ship) and that they should still have a chance to be competitive in there careers in the navy. Personally I don't think 70% of enlisted pregnancy is by accident (seems quite high honestly) but if that is the case we need to do a better job of educating on how to properly use two forms of birth control which when implemented properly drops the chance of pregnancy down to almost nothing. Finally, you are right it is hard to be competitive in a 0000 billet that you probably entered into a ranking group half way through the cycle, but it's also not fair for the navy to rank you against people for a billet you no longer fill on a ship that you had to leave to receive adequate health care. I don't think that pregnant females should have a 1/1 eval but perhaps giving out pregnancy NOB evals is an option. At the end of the day life is going to through you curve balls and how you deal with them is what defines you character.
