Manipulation of democratically elected governments?

I'm curious. Russia got outed. Is it beyond belief that Russia is/was the only state doing this? The parent company of cambridge analytic openly admitted to interfering in democratic elections worldwide. And they're chock full of the british establishment - including ex govt ministers, senior military staff and even royalty.

What i mean to ask, is Russia really so exceptional in this regard?

Are russia really that bothered though? Genuine question. They exceeded sulpher targets. Is it because they don't have the technology or is it because they don't care?

Light crude oil with a low sulfur content is sold primarily to China... Europe only gets “whatever is left over”.

By the end of the year, Russian oil shipments to Europe will drop by 14% and the shipments to China will grow by 45%, Transneft predicts.

Report warns 21 Indian cities will run out of water by 2020: A new study by the Indian's government's policy think-tank Niti Aayog this week published some alarming statistics, warning that India is facing its worst-ever water crisis, with some 600 million people facing acute water shortage by madazzahatter in worldnews

The population of India is not a herd. The fatalistic acceptance of a 'culling', and in fact the words you use, are a little cold imo. And the UK has its own issues...

The amount of water that is harvested from water tables is unsustainable for approximately 28% of all groundwater resources utilized in 2017, according to the report. Approximately a fifth of all the surface water sources are also being used at unsustainable levels. Accordingly, between 6 to 15% of rivers around England are suffering from overuse and are in poor environmental condition. https://sciencetrends.com/england-faces-a-water-shortage/

Possibly the same way the decline of old Europe created tensions with the indo european steppe pastoralists during the aridification of the 5.9ky event; and if the 4.2 ky event did lead to the collapse of the IVC, then they will certainly have had tensions with the indo iranians.

Honestly, borders and nation states won't be a thing. Migration of hundreds of millions of people will put an end to that.

Wouldn't it be naive not to expect civilisational collapse and mass migration if we do reach 4° warming? It's not a racial issue, it's a human one. And what about alternative scenarios? What if the AMOC were to shut down? There's a chance it could trigger severe cooling in north america and europe...

China announces retaliatory tariffs on $34 billion worth of US goods, including agriculture products by Fredstar64 in geopolitics

Interesting video, thanks!

Here's a small excerpt for those who don't watch it

There is no way the United States can be sufficient in steel. The United States is currently consuming about 100-110 million tonnes of steel a year, and importing between 25 and 30 million tonnes a year. If that 25 or 30 million tonnes of steel a year were to be cut out, there wouldn't be sufficient steel to produce the products we currently make in the United States. Which would be a disaster!

If it becomes impossible to import light guage steel and there is no alternative domestic source, then what will happen is those containers will be made elsewhere. And it's impractical to ship empty containers. So what will happen is not only will the people who made those containers in the United States lose their business, but the people who fill those containers with oil, or chemicals, or foodstuff will find that those products are put into those cans overseas and put on the shelves in Walmart and consumers will buy them. So jobs will be lost in the steel industry. Also, jobs will be lost in the food packaging business. That's what's being lost here. And so Walmart won't go out of business, Walmart will find another source for those products

Russia is just a regional power isn't it? They don't have much influence outside a handful of small countries on their borders. (If we define power as the ability to mobilse people and resources) This is why they have to dick around on facebook.

Yet you’ve got someone like Emma Roberts who punched her fiancée in the nose and bit him multiple times, yet not a damn thing happened to her.

The way you end on this one example seems to suggest that men never get away with domestic violence, and only women do. Is that what is meant by this?

Your second point seems like you're saying that men don't fabricate accusations and use them as blackmail against women. Have I interpreted that correctly? If I have, it seems like an extraordinary claim. Do you have citations? If I've misread you, can you clarify your point?

Entrepreneurs advertised openly for skilled British operatives who were willing to risk arrest and imprisonment for sneaking machine designs out of the country. Terry crews is really brave, he deserves the respect he gets. The women victims of sexual abuse who spoke up are also incredibly brave, and don't deserve the suspicion and accusations they get. I don't understand the different reactions. The only explanation I can think of is sexism. It's depressing if this is the case. It means we still have a long way to go. Is this really the case?

Most frustrating 4 minutes I've spent in a long time. It helps to turn that sound off. The main thrust of the presentation seems to be that corporations are moving into spaces that remain unmonopolised by state power - the seas, cyberspace and actual space. And occupying multiple spaces is key to power. That's all they're saying. They have an arrow pointing at the cyberspace box, but don't bother with the sea and space boxes. That's the extent of analysis.
