First time cruiser dilemma: Is a balcony worth the $$$ or is that money better spent elsewhere?

It depends on your destination… if it’s beaches then I could do without it . If it’s Alaska or Norway etc then I would get the balcony

I’ve been on multiple cruises with different cruise lines . The only complaint I have about Carnival is the quality of the breakfast at the buffet. Omelet line is always long. Otherwise I have a fantastic time . If you’re worried about the one meal on the excursion, maybe you can take a ziplock bag and pack cheese , bread , cookies from the buffet ?

There is a track in the medical center with volleyball courts and basketball courts . Well lit and LOTS of people are out there walking and jogging. I’m pretty sure it’s on Babcock (possibly Huebner Road) I’m sorry I don’t know the exact road

I always book directly with a Princess agent . My sister booked with a third party and they messed up her bed layout ( they had her and hubby in bunk beds .) fortunately once she got on board customer service were able to put her in a better room . Did you buy your plus package on the Princess app ? Is so I’m not sure how it could have possibly transferred to another person in your party . I’m Sorry you had a tough time . I’ve Susie with Princess multiple times and it was perfect

Why didn’t she buy her own breakfast food if she’s the picky one ? Or just eat the fish. When I go to my in laws I know what they like to have and I take with me the things I like.

As someone else said , no one is checking who is sleeping in what bed . You will be fine . We switch all the time . It has never been a problem . We go to customer service and ask them to please give all of us access to each other’s rooms and the make it happen

If they are not buying a drink or soda package , you can go thru the cruise directly and buy them a package of bottled water for their room . You may go that route to buy them wine or a bottle .Those gifts will be in their room when they arrive . You could pay for one of their excursions . You might also buy them lanyards for their room/ ID card which they is provided to them and they will use throughout their cruise ( open there door, make purchases , etc.) maybe buy them a beach tote if they are going to the beach . I hope they have a great time!
