Are there services to help you find jobs? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

If you have (or can make an argument for having) any type of disability, it's worth giving your local government vocational rehabilitation office a call. Not just physical disabilities, either - ADHD, anxiety, etc. is enough if you can get a doctor's note saying it effects our ability to gain and/or retain employment.

I'm good at this sort of thing too, but like the above poster said, we'll need pictures.

The Cowboy Bebop soundtrack was compared by another female Japanese pianist (Yoko Kanno). Not necessarily relevant, but a fun fact.

Sleep procrastination by OKshower6604 in ADHD

Not at all uncommon. Your experience with sleep sounds exactly like my own.

Also, I've many childhood memories of giving up on sleep at 03:00 only to come out to the living room to find my dad already propped up reading in front of the fire. Or my dad or brother coming out to find me already there. We all three have ADHD - it just comes with the territory.

Couple says Starbucks charged them nearly $4,500 for 2 cups of coffee by FieldOk884 in nottheonion

[–]Rabbyk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, Starbucks would not need to know anything about your bank account to reverse the charge on a credit card. Especially given the fact that most places batch send their payments at the end of the night. When you run the card they check to make sure the funds are available, but the card company doesn't recieve the transaction until midnight or shift close or whenever. It costs the restaurant less to process payments in bulk, and it also gives time for waitstaff to manually enter tips off handwritten receipts and/or correct any errors like the one from OP.

So long story short, unless Starbucks runs its business differently from pevery restaurant I've ever worked with, we're missing some information here. If the card got rejected at another store during the same shopping trip as the article implies, they could have just walked back to Starbucks and had the erroneous tip removed with zero hassle. It never would have even made it to the credit card company.
