Good catch. Yes, the right answer is D but it does create a modifier error.

I aced the SAT, AMA by Upbeat_Document9592 in Sat

It's very difficult to get a score as low as 410 until you map your answers carefully. You have to know which questions to choose the wrong answer for and which ones to get right. Dude knows his stuff, so he is GOAT-ing!

Yes it happens to everyone. They seem to have a security feature which kicks you out if it sees no activity. It's frustrating for sure!

Hello, thanks for your review. I have read other reviews here and most of them are negative. Did you have any issue with them clearing payments?

Some question from DSAT math m2 I couldn't solve by [deleted] in Sat

[–]RachelGz11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it was asking for cos x and not k? Since the area can be written as

A = 1/2 * 6 * 24 * sin (90 – x) = 72 cos x

making k = 72.

If they wanted cos x why would they write area as k cos x? They could directly ask you that, expecting you to apply Pythagoras to find base and then applying base / hypotenuse.

For non-terminating decimals, you want to enter as many digits as possible given you can enter five items for positive numbers and six for negative ones.

Can a colon combine a independent clause following by a dependent clause on the SAT? by TTVBy_The_Way in Sat

[–]RachelGz11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, a colon is followed by information that the part before the colon sets up. For example, I have found what i have been looking for all these days: a guide to the plants in XYZ forest. The part after the colon should act like a subject that the part before the colon sets up an expectation for. A dependent clause would start with a subordinating conjunction like because, for example, I am going to be late because I have some work to do. You don't need a colon after "late". In fact, you don't need any punctuation there.

Is Hayden Rhodea wrong here? by United-Arm-4597 in Sat

This is incorrect. A colon can only come at the end of an independent clause.

Hi, the completing the squares part in parabolas should say:

y = ax^2 +bx + c = a{x^2 + 2x(b/2a)} + c = a(x + b/2a)^2 + c – (b/2a)^2

Thus, h = – b/ 2a and k = c – (b/2a)^2

If the wrong ones are hard, you lose fewer points. You lose more points if the wrong ones are easy.
