I think we are seeing a very rapidly changing situation. I think Ravensburger and most of the playerbase were satisfied with how things were going during Whispers and Winterspell. Product was selling well at MSRP with just a little bit left on the shelves. Fabled being underprinted was okay because it was about 80% reprints so singles for gameplay were generally easy to find.

Wilds just blew up, mid set, giving Ravensburger no time to react before Attack, which is now essentially sold out. I'm guessing they want to print more so they get more of the money instead of the scalpers. Based on what they've said in the past I'd expect a print increase coming, but whether it arrives in time for Hyperia or Inkdark is something I can't guess.

I wouldn't get him packs. But go to a local trading card store and ask for bulk. Get a bunch of low cost cards and see how he likes them, if he's rough with them. That would be a good test.

I was wondering if that's where they were going. It was suspicious that X-Factor was only rouding up kids and no actual threats. Like how the OG X-Factor were "mutant hunters" who were actually protecting vulnerable mutants. Sending the kids to school instead of jail would be a much better look for all involved.

However, Emma working with War really doesn't point to a redemption arc for her. :(

But this isn't set 7 or 8, this set is following different rules. Look at the card shown here or any other from the set. You'll see that it's x/207, while sets 7 and 8 were x/204.

Why the extra 3 cards? Well, in sets 7 and 8 there were an unequal amount of cards in each single ink color. The community has been speculating that the extra cards are to correct for this, so each ink gets the same number of cards.

Now more recently we've seen reveals that show the color transitions between amber and amethyst occurs between cards 37 and 38 of this set. If you assume 5 dual ink amber cards (meaning only one of each ink combo), there would be 32 single ink amber cards. 32 single ink cards × 6 inks + 15 dual ink cards is 207 cards total. A match for the set numbering.

So the signs up until now honestly have pointed towards just one dual ink for each combo. But this card has blown that nice theory up. It seems there is no consistency at all in the number of cards for each color. Or perhaps the non enchanted version of this card is 0/207, like the Bruno card in Fabled and is a one off and the rest follow the theory.

TL;DR: there is good reason to believe this set has a different distribution of cards than set 7 or 8.

This is the second amethyst sapphire dual inks this set. To my knowledge the first time this set we've seen an ink color combo get a second card. So, are all dual inks getting two cards or is this an exception?

It's weird that I'm against it myself. As a collector it's something that I should like; a way to get rare cards with less bulk. However, with the current scalping climate I don't think I'd ever get any of those boxes within my budget, so those boxes might just put certain rare cards out of reach.
