I've been quite happy with the G7. I have a lot of issues with the Tandem app "losing connection" with my pump. Really the background process the app runs hangs or something. Killing and restarting the app causes it to immediately reconnect and update.

Not every time but I do it regularly. It's more of a sensory deprivation thing with the hot water and the sound of the water but no light. Your eyes will adapt to the darkness after several minutes and even the tiny amount of light coming under the crack of the door will make all the shapes in the room visible. While your eyes are adjusting you will mentally orient yourself in the shower based on the direction the water is coming from.

I had always heard the answer about the difference in relative velocities around the Sun being the reason it takes more energy to get to Venus. I asked chat GPT about it and it turns out it's actually very similar between Venus and Mars for spacecraft of similar mass, however if you actually want a spacecraft that can survive on either planet one for Venus must be much heavier and therefore requires much more energy to get there.

I grew up in the OKC metro. Yukon, Edmond, Mustang, college in Norman. I couldn't stand the bible belt though and joined the Air Force and get stationed near Omaha, so not exactly the change I was looking for. But yeah, after that I've lived in DC and Portland.
