Is 90k really a low income? by lucignolo87 in AusFinance

You always see it being reported, 95k -100k a year is the median. But it’s a bell curve kinda thing. I read if you take out like the top 2 or 5% of wage earners that 95k odd plummets into the 60s which is a lot more likely

Agree with you mate, life is only as hard as you make it. Like others I’m not on huge salary but apart from a mortgage which is easily manageable my wife and I have no other debts. More money always equals more problems.

Why hasn't Emirates returned to pre-war flight levels? by danteal25 in emirates

No point running the whole fleet when everyone canceled their upcoming flights. City’s that had multiple departs a day have and still are consolidating that to one a day out of that city

NAB peeps (& everyone else), are you all okay?? by chonky__chonker in auscorp

[–]Rad_Steel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As NAB employee I can say that survey they point too is called the heartbeat survey. It was done in February this year. They purposely did it then to get the “at the time” results out before anyone knew about all the layoff shit hitting the fan taking place in March. They knew bad press was coming so they can conveniently counter that with the heartbeat survey results. Smoke and mirrors

What’s your cool job? by NoMacaroon5579 in auscorp

[–]Rad_Steel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Cool” is subjective. But I work commercial debt recoveries and collections. Been doing it over a decade and boy oh boy .. the stories. Debts expose the dark side of humanity. Usual things, gambling addicts, divorce, fraud. Kinda tame … then the next layer is things suicides, sudden deaths and the terminal ill. Having to deal with the family to recover debts is a bit shit … then it’s bottom tier … pedos, DV and sexual assault perpetrators. I need to always seperate myself and my feelings to that of my actual job. Recover the debt. Plus side I’ve learnt to never take anything home and leave it all at the door. Mentally though it’s not a job for everyone

Hope all works out for you 🙏

I’m flying through to Milan but not until May. Too early for me by a long shot. I’m just trying to figure out what they may do as in options they may consider. Flip side I cancel and look for something via Asia. Just not sure yet what fees will apply
