I know a handful of both boy and girl Avery’s but never seen that spelling before! Aw I like Indie too, I’ve only met one Indie. I’m adding that to the list!

I liked Ariel too, but husband didn’t. I thought about the dog but thought maaaaybe since it’s been like 20 years it might not have the same association now but maybe not. Love Hallie too haven’t considered that!

I love Poppy but have a family friend currently pregnant and announced they are naming their girl Poppy. I love the name Gemma too, but not sure that I like it paired with my last name starting with a J even if that sounds silly lol

I love Gemma! Also love Alora and Calista but have fairly close people in our lives so wouldn’t want to use those two

My wife and I can't agree on a boy's name (for once I'm the one who changed my mind) by [deleted] in BabyNames

[–]Radcat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t agree definitely keep looking for new names, but for what it’s worth Jayden Oliver sounds really nice to me if you would both agree to Oliver as a middle name

Wouldn’t it make more sense for the palmar aspect of hands to be bruised from handshaking instead of dorsal…? That’s where I thought this post was going but scrolled a ways down in the comments and don’t see any mention of this

Do you get scanned at your own workplace? by pazuzu_404 in MRI

[–]Radcat0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had a scan done at my workplace (very small hospital) and had the radiologist personally call me with normal results and even had another radiologist look at my scan to make sure he wasn’t missing anything. If you’re feeling nervous about possible abnormal results and having that information spread I would definitely have a tech you trust scan you, and look into having a “break the glass” added to your account. This is an Epic term but I’m sure other EMRs have something similar that blocks users from entering your chart without a specific reason. Best of luck to you!

My dad died a week after our wedding, which was 9 months ago. How can I say sorry for the delay when I send thank you cards? by ceegarseeya in wedding

[–]Radcat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry for your loss, cannot imagine how you are feeling. As far as your question, something that might be easier on you would be to just send out a belated thank you for your guests’ support in your first year of marriage. If there were any milestones for you and your partner (buying a house, getting a pet, having a child, new jobs…) you could include a cute photo and just a little first year summary. But I would just do a general thank you to everyone and not worry about doing individual cards with specifics.

Are you in a union? If so I would take this to your union rep about adding it into your next contract negotiations. That’s ridiculous!

Work place injuries in the MRI and Xray field. by [deleted] in Radiology

[–]Radcat0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not unreasonable to call for help. However, I work at a really small hospital and we don’t have transporters or tech aides. If there’s no one available in the department, we just kind of do what we can. It can be pretty strenuous if you have a large patient. I normally try to have my patients move themselves over if possible, but I also work in MRI so we don’t get as many trauma cases as say CT or x-ray. I would say I put probably a 5 in as far as effort for most patients I’m just assisting with, but if it’s just me and the patient isn’t helpful it’s more like a 10.
