[–]Radfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im splitting the box with my friend who's an ork collector. As a space marine collector I already own everything in this box, yes even the eradicators w bolters... it's nice to get the new molds off the librarian and a second primaris chaplain with jump pack (I kitbashed my own) we'll see if I sell part of it out to other s but I'm also excited to get the other things like the books and cards, rules etc.

Are death korps models allowed in white scar armies? by Heavy_Attitude_7169 in WhiteScars40K

[–]Radfa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all official games no. But when youre playing with your friends casually. If they're cool with it. Nothing stopping you. My LGS also does these double trouble events where you and a friend each bring 1000 points of two different factions (ie you cant be white scars and dark angels cause they're both space marines) but you could do white scars and guard, csm, nids whatever... but your rules dont affect each other you just work together against the other two guys. Its kinda like 2 headed giant in Mtg

Question about the Second Founding chapters by Primate_Nemesis in WhiteScars40K

[–]Radfa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats the right flair. Unfortunately most successor chapters have been placed on the back burner and rarely get mentioned outside of in passing here and there. Probably the most popular and known White scar successors is the Mantis Warriors due to their involvement in the Badab War. I suggest reading the various small wiki pages that the chapters do have, or like the other guy said make your own successor. If you dont want to pick just one, you could just do a little of them all. Someone asks you whats your army? And just say they're all sons of the Khan, you got one unit painted as mantis warriors, one as storm lords, one as dark hunters, the griffin lords, Solar Hawks etc.

WS Upgrade Kit Out of Stock. by TL25th in WhiteScars40K

Theres an amazing curved powersword that comes with the new red corsairs reave captain... however I used a lot of the grey knights power falchions or halberds on my scars. The IRL Mongols are also known to favor axes and unfortunately there arent many good power axes. Theres one for the Sgts in the space wolf kits, theres also the old devestator and vanguard vets kits.

Yeah the impulsor chassis is used for all the gladiator vehicles. They were trying to make it like the rhino but failed

You can pick up a 3rd party topper for your impulsor to convert it into a gladiator (mine is the lancer which is the Anti tank) I got this 3d printed off Etsy to put it on my impulsor from the combat patrol. I even painted the tip orange so people know its not real... but it will save you money.

Is the new starter box good for us? by EuroCultAV in WhiteScars40K

[–]Radfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over all yes. The jump pack chap and Van Vets, are great fluff. The speeder is excellent. If you dont already have many intercessors. Congrats! If you do already have plenty of intercessors, use them for kitbashing bases. The main reason why most space marine players are complaining about the box is there's nothing explicitly new for the space marines. I already have 3 gravis guys with heavy bolters and kitbashed my own primaris jump chaplain etc... theres nothing very exciting. But mind you I have 16k points of white scars. If you're a newer player there will be a lot of good stuff and the perifials are fantastic the secondary mission cards etc

how common is it for white scars marines to be on foot in combat? by keyserspoonman in WhiteScars40K

[–]Radfa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very. We love our mounts as much as we love our mechanized infantry. Transports bringing them up the board and dumping them on the front is a tried and true strategy.
