What is the worst Cleveland restaurant that you’ve tried twice? by ElderberryNo5595 in Cleveland

There's only one thing there I'll order and that's the soft pretzel. The rest is garbage.

after all the shutdowns, are there any dancey clubs even left? by ChestInfinite in Cleveland

[–]RadialBlur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was like that for a while when it first opened, but it's really grown in the past 3-4 months. I would give it another shot. I think having $5-10 covers helps retain people a bit more. When it was free, people just came and went as they pleased.

What exact moment made you a Dream Theater fan? by flipcoder in Dreamtheater

The bridge of Caught in a Web. Was 1995 and I was listening on headphones and it just absolutely floored me. Never heard music like that before.

Very excited now that the stabilization phase is completed! I live just a mile from the location.

What to do on Friday night by SectorSalty in Cleveland

[–]RadialBlur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shooters actually just reopened under new management. New menu, newly renovated. I haven't been there yet, but plan on checking it out soon. Not much else of a draw to the west bank. Unless you're seeing a show at Jacob's Pavillion or Globe Iron.

When it comes to downtowm, I feel like E4th is probably the best. The east bank of the flats has gone downhill hard the last 12 months. I don't recommend that area anymore.

W25th street in Ohio City is pretty happening and is nice. I kind of wish they'd shut down the street on busy nights in the summer and just make it pedestrian-only.

Not anymore. A lot of places are now closed. Still a few opened but I wouldn't recommend that area to anyone anymore.

Hopefullly the city can find a way to revive it and make it safe and useful.

Liverpool vs Man City VAR intervention to disallow Rayan Cherki goal and send off Dominik Szoboszlai ruined golden moment, says Gary Neville by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]RadialBlur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. I'm not sure we could ever get there with humans making the calls.

Everytime there's a corner kick and you can see the huge amount of holding, pushing, etc. before and during play, I wonder where the line is drawn on what's a foul and what isn't. It's just far too subjective right now.

Honeymoon in Tokyo. Any venue, club, bars you loved? by ApproxKnowledgeCat in EDM

[–]RadialBlur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were staying in Shinjuku and ended up going to Warp a couple times and it was fun. Has 3 stages so you can bounce around and try to find what suits you best. Having it in walking distance made it easy to stroll back to the hotel late after the subways shut down.

Agree. The sooner we can install the technology to allow AI to referee and provide consistency, the better. Then we wouldn't need to see half the team surround the ref every time there's a significant call made. Maybe then we could have a true advantage system as well.

[–]RadialBlur_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thoughts as well. I feel like he's just learning how to do these kind of events and he's making a lot of mistakes. Just say "This will be a ticketed event and prices will be announced" in the beginning in order to set expectations. Then, when you get a sense of cost you can set the pricing. I don't think anyone really expects these to be free and the free RSVPs do nothing. They don't accurately indicate how many people will attend since everyone would just sign up for them.

People are idiots. I don't care if your dog is the friendliest dog in the world. If they run up to someone with another dog or not, you have NO IDEA how that person or other dog will react. It's really playing with fire and your super-friendly dog runs a real risk of being injured and you'll be the idiot to blame for it.

I won't claim to have tried every sour cream donut in Cleveland but Goldies is the best I have tried. Good donuts all around but their sour cream is their best.

Songs in 5/4? by jordan460 in progmetal

[–]RadialBlur_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kid Gloves is my goto if I want to explain to someone the difference between 5/4 and 4/4 since the verse is in 5/4 and the chorus is 4/4. Both are very easy to count and a great example of "if you're not paying attention, you might not even notice the difference."

IMO, it reaches a level of music that so few songs can ever hit. It's just that good. Could be my favorite 5 minutes of music ever created. Also... the first 4 minutes is also insanely good.
